Kingston Lodge Hotel

Absolutely disgusting stayed here as an essential worker during covid 19 in room 318 expecting to have to give it a reassuring wipe not a deep clean, it was a disgrace, dirty & covered in thick dust, stained sheet, dirty bathroom, yes it is faeces on the blue roll in the photo, scummy walls in the shower covered in hair and something else, dirty kettle, carpets stained and in need of a hoover, you would expect better standards even when there isnt a coronavirus pandemic, the cleaner had signed off the coronavirus cleaning checklist prior to my arrival stating they had cleaned everything, I can only share a handful of photos and they really don't do it justice, reception said it's really not good is it and asked me if I wanted to move rooms to which I replied no thankyou I don't fancy cleaning another, at least I know I have sanitised the one I was in, was told they have only 1 cleaner and they are aged 67, also the TV remote was broken no spare batteries, no TV until 8:30pm when a new remote appeared at the door, booked for 2 nights only stayed the 1. Very poor.

The property was not clean. It was difficult to communicate with staff for any requests. The facilities are poor and old. The hand wash was replaced with hand cream. The price for the room is outrageous for the poor facilities and room appearance

Poor start from the begining, found out that the hotel was under new management. Although thd staff tried to help, they also did not know what was going on. The room decor was tired and old, damp in the corner and un exciting to say the least, so much that we left and never went back. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone. Sorry!

Stayed here recently for a murder mystery event. The hotel is pretty dated and run down if im honest, Which is a shame as the Murder mystery event was great and the food was lovely. Our room was pretty shabby with stains on the walls and items not working. Staff where happy and helpful espescially Charlie who was amazing and a great tribute to the hotel.

We came here for a murder mystery night. On first impression it seemed a bit shabby but everything was great. Room had plenty of space and a large comfy bed, the shower was amazing. The bar area was cozy with a fire, service was warm and friendly and atmosphere was relaxed. The murder mystery was great fun and the dinner was excellent. Breakfast was great, it was busy but we were seated quickly, buffet style with continental and cooked options which were replenished constantly. The hotel has a lot of history and although the decor is dated it's still perfectly comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. The staff were very friendly and polite and made the stay memorable. Hotel is a short walk from Richmond park which is well worth a visit. Only negative was that you could hear noise from room next door and corridor but we just put the TV on to drown it out.

I stayed in this hotel on Thursday 12th March 2020, I checked in very late only to find a group of possible builder type lads scattered around the lounge area making more noise than I would have expected at this time of night. I was told where my room was, a sign on the doorway of the corridor to my room stated "Clubrooms" I entered the room, If this is a clubroom then god help the rest of the guests. The room stank stale, it even looked unclean and of need of a good makeover..... my bed was on wheels and a very poor cheap mattress with springs. BREAKFAST...... whoever gave this place four stars needs to return and spend the evening there and have breakfast, all I can say is it was appalling, no bowls visible no glasses visible just plates and you have to ask the grumpiest man for coffee, extremely rude in his mannerism. All in all I will be telling the office never to book our staff into this place again. In fact I would rather have slept in the car.

Good size room, nice breakfast area. Staff were reasonably helpful after asking multiple times.

Vehicle had rear tailgate window smashed and a bag was stolen out of the boot overnight. No CCTV in their Carpark and if they actually had a night porter nothing was seen even with the vehicle parked close to the reception area. Disappointing experience to say the least.

The property was just okay and very dated and in need of a facelift

From moment I arrive was treated as a valuable customer. Would not bypass this hotel when in area. Nothing is to much trouble. Will be back soon.
