Village hotel resorts never dissappoint, the consistency of standards across the brand is exceptional. We never stay anywhere else when moving around the country. The Walsall hotel following its bedroom refurbishment really stands out as a jewel in the crown.

The location to where we wanted to be

There was no air con in the bedrooms, and there were many groups of men smoking cannabis in the car park gathering around their cars, plus lots of litter strewn around the car park.

A customer was shouting abuse at me in the swimming pool in front of my children, because one of my kids went into the adult swimming lane to get their ball. I told my kids they weren't allowed and they didn't repeat their error but I informed kimmy and staff about the abuse and they did not seem bothered. Which really put the trip from a 10 to a 5. Which is a real shame.

The staff didn't have any empathy. Nor did they strive to make the situation right. I felt like they failed me and my kids.
