Absolute awful stay! In the terrible heatwave we discovered that this hotel hasn’t got the basics right, no air conditioning! The room was like a furnace. We were offered a fan that did absolutely nothing to help. After lots of complaints, lack of sleep, actually no sleep, shower not working, blind not working and no solution as staff in charge were totally incompetent. Massively disappointed and no offer of any compensation for a family room we couldn’t stay in! As for the poor chamber maids their working conditions were disgraceful- how they could work in those circumstances was beyond me. In that awful heatwave they were not even allowed to wear shorts! Look after your staff Village Hotel! Get air conditioning!!!!!!

So, a two on an absolute scale is harsh, but in the context of the expectation you have coming to a village hotel, I think its fair. So, my qualms: 1. Low hot water pressure so the shower dribbles like it has a water infection. 2. Extractor fan that doesn't turn off. 3. No a/c 4. The blind has a metal strip along the bottom that rattles against the wall with the slightest of breeze, so once you've opened the window tk cool down because of the lack of a/c, you then won't be able to sleep because of the rattling. Or you put the blind up and forfeit all privacy. 5. No Netflix on the telly. Wtf? 6. £16.50 for a flatbread pizza 😂 really? As nice as the decoration is, the above are just basics that every hotel should get right. A quiet, comfortable place to sleep and shower is a minimum expectation that goes woefully unfulfilled. £16.50 for a pizza 🤣 gtfo.

Hotel great, staff very friendly but got two parking fines for stopping on the way to put air in tyre

very impersonal at check in, poor service in room, very basic offering, 4 days is too long its basically a road side one night motel

poor maid service, 2 out of 4 nights it went uncleanaed
