Inn at Schoolhouse Creek

Our cabin, Captain's Watch, was in a beautiful location - corner, on the second floor, looking over the property and on to the Pacific. The room was spacious comfortable and clean. Quiet - although, when in the bathroom, I could hear the neighbors talking but it was not a bother. The room had a coffee maker and a fridge which suited us just fine - we stayed for a night and left early the next morning. The town of Mendocino is close by, with good dining, cafes and bakeries. We enjoyed our short stay and will be back.

This location is perfect for a redwood tree coastal escape. So close and convenient to get to Mendocino, but tucked into nature at the same time. Our cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. When we did engage with staff, they were friendly and helpful. We definitely hope to return again.

We absolutely recommend staying with the Inn at Schoolhouse Creek! It’s located conveniently off Highway 1, and is minutes away from downtown Mendocino. Pricing was one of the best for that location! The grounds are beautiful and rooms comfortable!

Schoolhouse Creek Inn has a small quaint feel from the antique furniture to the cozy gas fireplaces, and country farmhouse warmth. If you are traveling with pets, this is your ultimate destination as all of their rooms allow dogs. It is just as much of a vacation for me as it is for my fur babies. Your dog will be welcomed with a cozy bed, their own bowls, treats, their own set of towels, and sheets, along with a complementary poo bag holder. They simply do not miss a thing, whether it’s pampering yourself in the water tower hot tub, cozying up in a cottage chair with a good book and cooking in your mini kitchen, to the little yard spaces for your dogs to feel free too! This was our second time staying there and I highly recommend the cottages if you are planning to cook your own meals, or if you’d rather eat out then don’t miss out on the water tower room. It is the best place in the house! Viewing deck from up above in the hot tub down below it even has a little courtyard for your fur babies. Absolutely fantastic place. ❤️🙏🏻

10 for hospitality and service! 8 for the room inside and out needing repairs. Bathroom grout worn outside the shower door, wear & tear beneath the sliding door, siding deteriorating next to the front door. Love the hooks behind the door, but one is broken. Would've been nice to have a long length mirror, and cotton sheets. Also would've been a nice touch had the deck been swept of leaves, etc. Having our own hot tub was super special and all in all we had a wonderful stay 😁thank you again.

We travel with two small toy, Aussies, and chose this place specifically for its location in Mendocino, location near the event that we were wanting to attend, and it’s acceptance of our two dogs. The accommodation for the pets was exceptional. They had many areas to walk our dogs, with cleanup bags, and disposal sites stocked and easily accessible. They had pet welcome goodies in the rooms. They also had a small bottle of local wine gifted & awaiting us, with two real wine glasses & opener. We were able to catch the sunset with ocean view from our room with a toast!

Just happened to find this through google and it was possibly the best find. It had the best views and peaceful and serene with an ocean view. We also had a chance run in with wild life 2 deers always were hanging out outside our room. I would highly recommend this place will be coming back here soon
