Acadia Hotel - Downtown

Amazing experience. I was concerned with a few of the negative reviews specifically parking and breakfast but didn’t find either of these to be an issue. We actually loved the quaint little breakfast nook with quiet music and found the selection to be above par. Homemade omelettes with a variety of breads and other typical continental breakfast offerings with an upgraded setting. The parking lot is small, for sure would be an issue on busier times but we had no trouble mid September. The location for the hotel was honestly the most perfect and couldn’t have expected better. The room was also great bed was comfortable, bathroom small but certainly not an issue. Service was great, staff friendly. We loved having the balcony overlooking the main street I would recommend this place to anyone especially couples looking for a nice weekend getaway. Bar harbor is perfect for that.

The free buses in Bar Harbor are great for getting around. There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel. I could open my window at night to keep the room cool. Very comfortable bed

Breakfast was adequate but not great. No fruit besides apples, few healthy options. I was there 5 nights, my room was not refreshing once.

Everything has been great. Easy to get in and out of and in walking distance to waterfront. Will stay here again. The breakfast in the morning was an added bonus and a great way to start the day.

Great location, clean rooms, but without a doubt this was the most overpriced hotel I ever stayed in. The bathroom was ridiculously small with a tiny shower. There was no closet - just a two-foot cubby hole with a refrigerator and a bar above. Breakfast was average.

We love the hotel. Lots of amenities and the staff is great! Breakfast was good and the omelette bar was a nice touch. Be sure to have a martini in their restaurant 🍸

Breakfast was included with an omelette bar, fresh fruit, pastries, coffees and juices. Worth a good $ 50/day just in breakfast foods. Rooms were nice and clean with cleaning service everyday. Extremely convenient for walking to dinner, shopping, Acadia shuttle bus pickup/drop off, Bar Island land bridge walking path, and harbor area for cruise tours. Would stay here again without hesitation!1

Too many stairs

The rooms were far too small. With two large pieces of luggage accompanying us on our three week trip to New England, the room was impossible to navigate. Seating was problematic in the room. The room was in need of deferred maintenance. No elevator and no employee offered to assist us with our luggage! The property is OK but for nearly $400 a night…not a good value or option. Disappointing since they present themselves as a four star property but I would re-state it as a two star!

Great location. Coffee always available and popcorn too. Nice bed. Cute decor. Didn’t clean room both days is only complaint. Super convenient to town. Balcony!
