Lodge on the River

The one good thing was that I arrived late and they were able to receive me just after midnight. Other than that there was no ice machine and so you had to ask for ice at the check in desk. The first night there was a little bit of ice; luckily I brought my own bag. The second night there was almost no ice. Also the first night the pillows were literally 1 inch thick and even together still didn't make a decent pillow. I asked for an l extra pillow which they didn't have. I had to buy my own pillow the next day. The second night I asked for clean towels which I never got. Also I had to move the table from one side of the room to the other next to where the air conditioning was just to be able to have an outlet to plug in my laptop to I shouldn't have bothered however because the Wi-Fi was so slow I felt like I was back in 1986. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was great the rooms were good size they could have been cleaned, would be nice to have a clean floor and pillows plus a working ice machine.

Advertised as rooms with a view of the River - not true!

The “comforters” are paper thin, but it works out because the AC has a hard time keeping the room tolerable.

We arrived the the hotel and waited an hour and a half to check in. There were other guests there who were having trouble checking in because their rooms were not ready, another guest had trouble checking in because the room key was not working and they couldn’t get in the room the lady at at the desk said she could open it with the master key but someone would have to stay in the room till the next day to get it sorted out. Then another guests key opened multiple rooms and was going around checking other rooms to see if the key worked. We finally got into our room and sheets had stains on them . There was a chair in the room that was fabric and it was practically black from filth. The toilet was loose, the shower curtain was shrunk and didn’t cover the whole opening. The mattress on one of the beds definitely lived its life as you could feel the wires. There were people drinking and smoking all night in the parking lot and to top it off we told the lady at the front desk that there was no remote control for the TV, she said she would bring one but she never did. When we checked out no one was in the office because I wanted to make sure they didn’t charge me for the remote control. After our event I tried calling to speak to them about it and the lady at the front desk was so rude and said they were charging us for the remote. Why? I told them it wasn’t there and they want to charge $25 for a remote that was never there. What am I gonna do witha remote for the cheap tv?

The rooms were not ready. Several people were waiting. My room key opened several rooms.

The room stunk like cigarettes. They charge $35 a day for a dog and there was so much dog feces along the fence in the parking area I couldn’t walk my dog there. Everything is old and filthy. Maintenance is minimal

I paid for a king bed but there was no sheets on it, I pulled back the mattress cover and it looked like someone had been murdered, stains and blood all over the mattress. Fortunately there was another bed in the room so I didn’t have to sleep in it. Told the front desk and all they did was bring me sheets that she had stripped off a bed in another room and wanted me to make the bed. Room was dirty, there was no ice, there was left over food in the cabinets, dog poop was all over the grounds, you could smell it.

The personal very friendly the first room air conditioner looked like someone put fist through it stuff had run down the front of it second room drapes were 4 inches to short to cover the window and cigarette burn on bedding

No hot water from the sink in the room. Dirty towel left in the bathroom. No heat. Beds were very uncomfortable. Furniture in the room damaged. No microwave, refrigerator or ice. I recommend that you do NOT stay here. Also, it looked like this hotel allows permanent living situations in various rooms.
