Staybridge Suites-Philadelphia/Mount Laurel by IHG

I stayed at Staybridge for two nights just to relax and decompress. While the staff was very friendly and breakfast had a nice variety of options, a few things made it hard to fully enjoy our stay. Our main plan was to enjoy the pool and watch some good movies, but the TV and remote made that nearly impossible. The TV service was through DirecTV, which was extremely frustrating—some channels had no signal, and the guide only showed channel numbers and network names, not what was actually playing. The “info” button didn’t work at all, so we couldn’t even find out what we were watching. The remote was also in poor condition—very slow to respond, and the buttons were so faded that I could barely read them. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so this was especially frustrating. On top of that, we had trouble getting the room temperature comfortable. The air conditioner seemed to only have two settings—either too cold or too warm. This was meant to be a quick reset for us, and while we appreciated the friendly staff and breakfast, the poor TV setup and uncomfortable room temperature really took away from the relaxing experience we were hoping for. The place was a bit run down and looked like it could use a bit of freshening up but thats not want was important to me. The fact that we could not enjoy a movie was very frustrating, it was meant as reset mini vacation. I was very disappointed. The rooms are not cheap and I expect everything to be working properly and it was not.

One of the rooms top blanket was torn and the lampshade has a stain on it. But I will say out of all the years I've been staying at this location this is my first time ever having something like this happen.

The breakfast was good and it was comfortable

There was construction going on which should have been disclosed during the booking process. It was clean to the naked eye but there was mold on EVERYTHING. The couch and the sofa chair were completely covered in it and we also saw a worker rolling out a mold invested couch to the dumpster. Very disgusting and can cause sickness. Should have been closed during renovations because the entire hotel needs cleaning out. Also an employee said something to my aunt about getting breakfast for my family, basically saying she was taking too much food and we had children and other adults in the room she was bringing food for. Breakfast is complimentary and he was being rude. My aunt felt completely embarrassed and ashamed and she shouldn’t have.

Clean, convenient area, almost all the staff were wonderful. They seem to be always in a good mood.

Pool was great but pool house felt like it had no ventilation, so on the really hot days it wasn’t a good way to cool down.

Huge rooms! Clean and tidy amenities. Handy having a little kitchen. Close to shops

Indoor pool could have been cleaner. Location just off the freeway. Had to ask to have breakfast plates, cutlery, waffles etc replenished even though still 1 hour until end of breakfast. Didn't like using plastic cutlery/crockery

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Our room was not cleaned our entire stay. The carpet in the main area of our suite was dirty, sticky stuff on the floor. The bed in the coach was partially broken and not comfortable for my children to sleep in. We couldn’t hook up the tv in the living room to our kids gaming station as the remote didn’t work properly. The stairwell carpet was old and stained and smelled horribly bc of overflowing trash.

Convenient location, provided breakfast

Only 1 elevator for the whole building (3 floors) which was shared by cleaning staff who had all there cleaning carts and supplies. Pool facilities was enclosed and extremely hot, also closed early and wasn't available at ALL on Sunday. Cleaning staff came in and took used towels but didn't leave enough replacements. Stairwell were hot and had an odor.

The furniture in the living room needs to be updated. There were rips in the sofa & kitchen chairs. We had to change rooms because the sofa bed was broken. No shower caps in the the bathrooms & toilets were too too low
