Layana Resort and Spa

Stayed for 12 nights in a beach front villa after travelling in Vietnam and Cambodia. This is a beautiful & relaxing resort, friendly attentive staff, great service set on a beautiful long stretch of beach with amazing sunsets. Regarding food great choice at breakfast and the menu for dinner was very extensive, food seriously good and beautifully presented. Happy hour was a great addition to persuade you to sit longer and watch the sunsets. Our beach front villa was spacious very contemporary inside and beautifully presented. Only minor disappointment: as expected each of the three villas had their own loungers on the small grassed area outside however the two newly built villas behind us now also had their own loungers on the grass making it somewhat crowded. Not really a problem as we just used the loungers which were plentiful on the beach and spaciously placed. We have been fortunate to travel extensively over the years staying in many beautiful hotels but you can fully understand why this hotel enjoys so many repeat guests year after year it is truly special.

A lovely resort, extremely well-managed, right on a quiet beach, we had a beautiful room facing the garden. Excellent breakfast, the restaurant served very good food, and very good value for the price charged. A memorable trip for us, we shall go again.

Layana is our ideal sun/sea/sand holiday hotel - stylish and comfortable (not too big) with good facilities and a superb beachfront location. The package is completed by an excellent management team and brilliant staff throughout the resort, who just make you feel so relaxed and at home. A special mention to Ozzie, Bom and Nut who all went above and beyond in making guests feel welcome, valued and at ease. Everything we’d hoped for and more - and we’ll definitely return.

Spent 13 nights at Layana. We flew into Bangkok and then onto Krabi before using the bus from the hotel to take us to our resort. Speaking to guests who had visited the hotel over 20 times it appears that most common route is to fly into Phuket and take a taxi to Krabi airport before picking up the hotel bus. Rooms are spacious and met all our needs. The rooms were spotless and very well maintain. Breakfast was good and sitting overlooking the beach was an excellent way to start your day. We alternated between the infinity pool where the water was warm and the beach. Even being low season we were able to swim in the sea most days. Staff were attentive and pleasant. We mainly ate outside the hotel at either Miranda's on the high street or Lyms which was down the beach. Being low season many shops were shut and there was very little to do out side the hotel. Thank you to all the staff and guests who made our stay very enjoyable.

This is beautiful resort with great service. My only complaint I thought I would have ocean view. And due to weather and rain the sea was too rough to swim. Wonderful spacious room with incredible bathroom! The staff was wonderful. I found room service and restaurant prices higher than the norm plus they add 10% service charge. Overall I recommend this resort

I can not say enough positive things about this resort. The hospitality was unparalleled with such attention to detail. We were greeted at the airport and personally driven to the resort. Upon arrival we did not lift a finger retrieving our bags and were given a full tour of the property and amenities. Our room was very clean and modern. Incredible water pressure in the shower. Loved our private balcony and luxurious king bed. The pools were beautiful and well attended to. Swimming in the infinity pool felt like an extension of being in the ocean. The staff was exquisite! Patti in the main office was generous and welcoming. Salim in the bar and restaurant was a joy to talk with and very attentive. The care and pride the staff appeared to take in this property showed. There was great pride and joy in ensuring we as guests were well taken care of. The breakfast buffet was overwhelming with choices from American, British, Asian and more cuisine. The diy Bloody Mary station was a nice addition. Having breakfast or any meal on the beach was heaven. The full gym was clean and a nice perk. Overall we get pampered and relaxed. Like we were on our private island lost to humanity and taken care of like royalty. The kindness and serenity of this resort will stay with me. And I hope to return soon.

Sehr schön angelegtes Resort mit gutem Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind teils etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sonderwünsche beim Manager sind leider untergegangen, das war sehr schade. Trotzdem ein gutes Hotel mit sehr netten und bemühten Mitarbeitern!

Our 4-day stay at Layana Resort and Spa exceeded all expectations! We were continually amazed by the exceptional service and amenities. We didn't even leave the resort grounds during our stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and speak excellent English, ensuring seamless communication. The resort itself is expansive and beautifully landscaped, featuring numerous pools, inviting seating areas, comfortable sunbeds, and direct beach access. The sunsets here are truly spectacular. The resort boasts a large and inviting restaurant and bar area, perfect for relaxation and enjoying high-quality meals. The spa services are also excellent. Our room was simply wow! The luxurious accommodations included a huge balcony and exceptional soundproofing, guaranteeing a peaceful and undisturbed stay. The inclusion of breakfast and airport transfers further elevated the experience. Words can't fully capture our amazing time here. If you're visiting this island, a stay at Layana Resort and Spa is a must! Thank you for your outstanding hospitality.

Our Home in Koh Lanta This was our second stay, and we can easily understand those who’ve been coming back for the 15th, and even 30th time (yes, we actually met them). Layana is simply everything we could possibly wish for when dreaming about our perfect holiday in Thailand. A beautiful 5-star hotel, in a perfect location, on a beautiful beach, with the most gorgeous sunsets. The property is immaculate, staff continuously cleaning and maintaining the facilities and the grounds. The atmosphere is one of tranquility, peace and quiet throughout. Food and drinks were top notch. But what truly makes Layana feel to us like home, are the kindest and most helpful staff, from the reception, through the room staff, restaurant, even gardening staff, all the way to the GM. We love the constant smiles, the warm greetings, and the readiness to help no matter the request. A very special thanks to Tour, who helped us tremendously by picking up travel socks for me at a local pharmacy (twice!), and to Franck the GM, who kept checking that all was ok. Thank you also for the champagne that awaited us in the room - what a beautiful greeting! It was truly outstanding service and genuine care, which regrettably you do not see often elsewhere. But we did, at Layana. It is for all these reasons that we now call Layana “Our home in Koh Lanta”, and why we shall return again, and again.
