Layana Resort and Spa

Calm and serene place!

We enjoyed our stay at Layana but this hotel was not really for us. While the amenities are lovely as is the location we found the room we stayed in (garden room) was a bit outdated. The front pool was very busy and we found all the pool lounges were reserved early in the day. If you like organised events this hotel is for you, the hotel had different event nights such as white night, this is not our scene but I know a lot of people really enjoyed these events. The beach is amazing and we loved how you could walk down the beach and visit lots of different bars and restaurants. Overall it all seemed a bit fake , clicky and forced. If you don't want to see older people doing tai chi, burpees, Zumba and outdated exercise regime in the morning by the pool and on the beach whilst eating breakfast then this place might not be for you.

The resort facilities and ground are immaculate. Everything spotless and beautiful. The pools are amazing and peaceful. No partying or noise. The beach is beautiful, the hotel does a great job keeping it clean in front of it. Unfortunately if you go for a beach walk, lots of garbage that is not cleaned up by surrounding resorts or businesses. Breakfast is varied and delicious, specially fresh mangoes and tropical fruits. Lots of options for all tastes. They offer diverse activities, some free, some with extra charge, but everything very well organized and every detail taken care of. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they provide good quality drinking water everywhere in the hotel.for free. Spacious and well equipped gym. But the best part of our stay was the staff. From the hotel manager, Franck, to all the restaurant staff (Kung, Tim, Khong, Sirinah) and the lady who.made our room spotless every day, and the gentlemen who served us water at the beach and pool every 30 minutes (or less), everyone smiling and so incredibly nice and friendly. Would definitely return and recommend for peaceful and relaxing beach stay in Thailand.

Beautiful peace heaven with amazing service! The resort is beautiful, the people are welcoming, the restaurant and bars are very good and the rooms are spacious! They also propose well priced activities such as snorkeling or sunset private dinner on a boat. I highly recommend!0

We loved our two nights here. Staff were amazingly happy and friendly. Rooms clean and beautiful . Only complaint would be the noice from next door room late at night .

We had the pleasure of staying for 7nights at this lovely adult only boutique hotel.We arrived and left by speed boat this is definitely the way to travel it was wonderful. We were greeted on the beach by staff and General manager Franck with flower garlands the flowers were beautiful.we had cold towels and welcome drink Our room wasn’t ready but the General Manager offered us a drink from the bar we both had a beer within about 10 minutes our room was available, we thought the offer of the drink was a great gesture and a great start to our holiday. We found the hotel to be very relaxing, having the 2 pools meant that there was never a shortage of sun lounges, the service throughout our stay was excellent, at the pool the staff bring cold water all day frequently topping up our glasses and fruit in the afternoon. We loved relaxing by the pool and at the end of the day enjoyed having a G&T at happy hour there are 2 happy hours which we thought was a great idea I think it was 5-7 and 9-11 pm The hotel is right on the beach , the beach is beautiful and we loved walking along it twice a day. There are plenty of restaurants along the beach and outside the hotel. We did eat twice at the hotel and enjoyed it . It was my birthday while we were here and at breakfast our table was decorated this was such a surprise and so appreciated, I also had a chocolate cake and the staff sang happy birthday amazing, thank you all so much. There are a lot of returning guests at the hotel and I can see why .We would highly recommend .

Your team was incredibly kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed, even helping us to resolve an issue with a refund for an extra night booked by mistake. We truly appreciated your support and professionalism. All the services were impeccable, the atmosphere was so relaxing, and the attention to every detail made our stay unforgettable. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer, but unfortunately our travel schedule didn’t allow it. However, we are already looking forward to coming back in the future, and we will definitely recommend Laiana Resort to anyone planning a trip to Thailand. We knew Layana would be nice, but wow – it completely exceeded our expectations. Honestly, it’s set the bar so high that everywhere else we’ve stayed since just doesn’t compare. We only wish we’d booked to stay longer! The rooms were spotless, and housekeeping came by multiple times a day – they did such a great job and were always so friendly. Breakfast was lovely, especially the fresh eggs made to order. The pool area was incredible – two beautiful pools leading right to the sea, with amazing staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Fresh towels and water were constantly topped up throughout the day. We could’ve stayed there for weeks. Security around the resort also made us feel really safe, which was a huge plus. Every evening we enjoyed a stunning sunset with happy hour drinks out on the decking – it felt like absolute paradise. The on-site restaurant was also fantastic – delicious food and lovely staff - Dart really looked after us! The grounds were immaculate, with gardeners working hard every day to keep everything perfect. Huge thanks to the entire Layana team – you made our stay unforgettable. We honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel more and can’t wait to come back again!

We just returned from a 9 night stay at Layana and can honestly say it was a beautiful experience in every way. The hotel and grounds are immaculately kept. The gardens are stunning and really well tended. I went out very early one morning to see lots staff sweeping, cleaning and gardening. The design of the hotel works really well, with two pools (one by the spa which is quieter and one by the beach which is close to the bar) and a variety of comfortable seating on the beach, inside the bar and on the decking area. There are sunbeds round the pools and along the beach and we always found somewhere to sit or lay. The staff would bring you iced water almost immediately once you settled on a sunbed, and would top you up as soon as your glass was empty. It was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The staff around the pool and beach were so helpful - laying towels out for you, sorting the umbrellas etc.. very attentive and observant. The beach is absolutely beautiful and so quiet! Lots of bars and restaurants in both directions if you want to venture out. We visited a few other beaches but Long beach was our favourite on Koh Lanta. We stayed in a Deluxe Garden Room and absolutely loved it. It was spacious and super clean. Loads of storage, plenty of drawers etc and a huge bathroom. The sunken bath was lovely and the walk in shower roomy and powerful. Lovely products, plus nice lightweight robes and slippers. The bed was huge and so comfortable. The bedding and pillows felt luxurious and we slept so well! Breakfast was a feast. You could not have asked for more. Everything you could wish for was available and it was all top quality. Beautiful fresh juices, smoothies and fruits, including specially prepared mango served to your table if you wanted. We tried the Thai noodle soup which was prepared at the soup station and it was delicious. The waiters and waitresses were all so attentive and friendly, including some trainees who were especially lovely. Service was quick and efficient. You could sit inside or outside, plus there were tables right on the sand if you wanted. There was always space and breakfast was served 6.30 - 10.30. We like to go out and explore, so we only ate in the hotel one night, and it was a lovely meal - again, great service. We used the bar most evenings during happy hour (5-7pm and again 9-11pm) The gin and tonics were lovely and very nice cocktails. The spa! If you stay at the Layana you must use the spa. We went twice and both times it was heavenly. We took advantage of the discounted offers and both times got 40% off, making it very affordable. The staff in the spa were all fantastic and the whole experience was sheer luxury and indulgence. I highly recommend. We did two trips organised by the hotel. One full day boat trip to the two islands (Rok and Haa, I think?) this trip was incredible and the beach we stopped at for lunch was stunning. The snorkelling was fantastic and the staff on the boat made the day extra special, making sure everyone was looked after. The other trip we booked was for a long tail boat, but sadly just as it arrived at the hotel the engine blew up. The hotel staff did everything they could to arrange something else for us at short notice and we ended up going out on the hotel’s speed boat. The manager of Layana is a French gentleman called Frank. He is constantly present and very engaging, always talking to the guests and checking that everyone and everything is okay. We found him to be really approachable and he seemed to have very positive relationships with his staff, which is probably why they all seem so happy and work so hard. It would be unfair to name individual staff members, as every single person working at Layana goes above and beyond. Customer service at the hotel is outstanding and faultless. We love our holidays and we travel a lot, but very rarely go back to the same place twice as we like to explore somewhere new. However, Layana really is a special place and we feel sure we will return. It was perfection.
