Alpenhorn Bed And Breakfast Inn

We were greeted with an amazing spread of ordeurves and wine as soon as we stepped in through the door. And were hosted to such a high standard throughout our entire stay. We were made to feel completely at home. And the owners went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. We plan to return soon and being more family members. This place is a must if you are visiting Big Bear Lake.

A wonderful place in the ideal location. Better yet was the remarkable service by the owners and staff. Beautifully furnished in a comfortable settings meant for enjoyable times dining or relaxing in the spacious back patio & yard. I cannot say enough about Johann's cooking! Breakfast and the evening meal were so delicious that the other restaurants we dined at couldn't compare. I had an early morning event & Johann was up at 4 am preparing a delectable breakfast ready at 5. The hospitality and service were above and beyond. We walked to the ski resort, lake, & main avenue, everything was nearby. Highly recommend staying here & we are planning to come back soon.

The owners go above and beyond, perhaps some of the nicest people on the planet. Something about the place makes you not want to leave. The breakfasts are healthy and all natural, but more importantly taste better than a 5 star restaurant. Seriously, every other bed and breakfast in the world needs to take a lesson from this place.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Looking to get away from L.A for a few days to unwind. We picked the best place possible to do this. My guess is this is one of the best places to stay in Big Bear. Luxurious B&B with amazing hosts. They think of every detail. Gourmet organic delicious breakfast, happy hour and optional dinner by owner/chefs that far beat the best of restaurants. A steal for what you get!

Enjoyed a long August weekend with our child in this cute bed and breakfast. Stayed in cottage which had perfect small kitchen amenities and plenty of space to feel comfortable. B&B located closed to village but on quiet side street with a tranquil outdoor setting perfect for lounging, photos and getting to know other guests. The owners welcomed everyone as if we were long lost friends and provided a perfect dining experience to get to know everyone. Even met guests who had been coming here for years. Delicious homeade breakfasts, cocktail hours and Thursday/Saturday evening dinners were perfect to end a day of physical activities. Looking forward to returning next year.

Hospitality extrodinary! Johann and wife will make sure your stay at their B&B is the best ever! My family and I will not stay anywhere else.

Wonderful host and hostess. Breakfast was 5 star hotel quality as well as hors d'oeuvres and libations. Room exceeded our expectations bed was cloud and jacuzzi was a bonus after long hike!! Would highly recommend this b&b to anyone 😍

The food! So amazing. Johan was incredible and extremely knowledgeable about all he served and spoke. So relaxing and an overall amazing experience!

We had a fantastic experience at Alpenhorn. Johann and Evelyn are fantastic hosts, very warm and welcoming. The room and facilities are lovely. Johann is a wonderful chef, creating special South African menus for happy hours and a dinner. My girls (8 years old) never wanted to leave. We will definitely come back many more times.

Johan was a great host. He made sure everyone felt included and could related with everyone no matter their background. He is a great cook as well. Our room was very clean. It was cozy and nicely decorated. The room was well insulated. Lots of windows in our room (rosebay) and the fireplace added a romantic feel to the room. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to friends and family and I totally plan on going back and staying for much longer
