Great little resort with personalized service. Hosts were friendly and treated us as if we were visiting family. My 10 & 12 year old kids loved it equally and are ready to go back anytime!

My boyfriend and I stayed with Evelyn and Johann to celebrate his 40th birthday. The entire stay was perfect, start to finish. Our room was beautiful: clean, comfortable, luxurious, and totally charming! Everything from the Jacuzzi tub to the fireplace and adorable patio overlooking a plush forest, to our luxurious linens and towels was absolutely perfect. Johann and Evelyn were so warm and welcoming and were so attentive to anything we needed. They were so helpful with recommendations and great conversationalists, but we were still able to enjoy our privacy and time alone. Everything was so romantic! The breakfast and Happy Hour was our favorite part! Truly gourmet! Johann is truly a talented chef. I will be emailing him for recipes!!! We snowboarded Sat at Snow Summit and enjoyed drinks at the resort. We highly recommend Big Bear Brewing Company for food and a fun night. Black Diamond Tavern was excellent as well although service was sub par. By far Johann's food was the best we had. This is where we'll stay if we ever go back to Big Bear and I hope we do! Johan was amazing to deal with and made you feel right at home. The room was fantastic and service was impeccable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Big Bear!
