The Green Hotel Golf & Leisure Resort

I can’t really fault our stay. The rooms were clean. Food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast with plenty of choice. All staff couldn’t have treated us any better. Yes, it is a bit old fashioned and some places are in need of refurbishment, but this appears to be an ongoing process. It is ideal for golfers, cyclists, tourists etc. who only want a few nights stay. We only played the Montgomery course, due to storm Floris, but it was in excellent condition. We were a group of 8 golfers due to travel on Monday 4th August for 2 nights. Unfortunately, due to storm Floris, the courses were closed and the advice was not to travel unless necessary, so we missed out on one nights DB&B and a round of golf. Not only has the hotel honoured our booking at a later date, but have also thrown in a second round of golf free of charge.

Shabby and run down torn carpets in hallways and stairs needed cleaned stained and un vacuumed Furniture missing handles etc moss growing on windows of bedroom Expensive for such poor quality Food mediocre restaurant closed only bar food Staff weren’t t going to serve us a sandwich at 2.40 despite website and checking sheet saying bar food served all afternoon Receptionist trying her best but most of staff inadequate I could go on

Excited to be spending a night at a hotel I remember well from my childhood. But how disappointing the experience now. I rate 2 rather than 1 in recognition that most of the staff tried their best. Bedroom was ok but the corridors so shabby. Don’t know the purpose of a stack of wood and some panels near our bedroom. Finally it’s very poor to have a wine bucket with a capped bottle of quite expensive wine just dropped onto the table leaving us to open and pour a luke warm serving.

Stayed for a nice. Was ok.

A pretty average hotel who seem to be relying on their close proximity to the golf course. Our check-in was like a scene from Fawlty Towers, the room was pretty average. The service at dinner was ok but they had little to no wines. On the Saturday we were told there was no ice as they were busy, also refused to make an Irish Coffee for my friend as it was after 9pm. The breakfast selection was the star of the whole thing.

Rustic, serene and Wonderful. Lovely place to stay away from the city’s hustle bustle.

Staff were excellent and very upbeat. Made my stay more enjoyable.

Arrived late and left super early. It was fine for that period. Hotel is tired. Room was tired and bed was solid. Reception staff was cheery.

1 night stay, we had a lovely night stay here , the room was huge as was the bed ! We had dinner and breakfast, the food was lovely ! Kinross is a lovely town and this hotel is fantastic value for money! The staff are all really friendly and helpful!

Looks decent upon entry and the staff are first class ( especially Eilidh in the bar) , food was good but the beds were like lying on a slab of concrete, hallway carpets were held together with gaffer tape and were downright dangerous in places with frayed holes all over them. TV in my room was smashed and I had to request a replacement twice and when it was replaced the aged model barely had a picture. Would not recommend staying .
