The Green Hotel Golf & Leisure Resort

Disappointed Had a voucher for a 3 course meal. Food was very bland and portions were tiny. Left list of my main course and we both left most of our desserts. No atmosphere even with big tv on. Staff were ok and reasonably attentive Won’t be back in a hurry

The toilet was awful there were so many cobwebs there was mild on the glue holding the bath tub up there was mild on the ceiling and wall very outdated atmosphere but there was a nice big space for me and my family to have fun with our dogs on sight and the food was not great either as my egg was still raw my bacon was most fat my sirloin was mostly fat and they forgot my salad

Generally it feels like a hotel struggling to survive. Not terrible but not great and in distinct need of some maintenance investment- which to be fair there was some minor evidence of. But where is your core business?…. Bedrooms. Ours was on the ground floor (rm2). Nice big room looking into the inner courtyard. Beds were very firm - if you like soft or intermediate mattress this is not for you. Couple of minor things - on one double socket (there only are two) one of the outlets won’t switch on- so effectively 3 sockets in the room. None at bedside so just irritating. En-suite: towel rad didn’t work, fan didn’t work, shower sealant a little mouldy- kind of minor but for the price paid not great. It’s your core business area! Main hotel public areas: Some corridors were poorly maintained- our daughter stayed in room 8!and as you walked round the corridor you encountered an large wall area affected by water damage. For me that would be priority 1 but it didn’t even seem to register as unacceptable. Quite sad actually. Other corridor to dining room was a bit musty. The breakfast Time was a bit entertaining tbh. Like many hotels struggling to retain staff I think they had a young chef learning the ropes. A number of folks had minor complaints and minor frustrations. The price therefore was not great value for money. Management/owners- sort your core business areas if you want to survive.

We had a 2 day golf trip to Kinross and played both the Montgomery and the Bruce course, both were great but we preferred the Bruce. The hotel and hospitality were both fantastic. All the staff at both the Hotel and Golf Club were so helpful and made us feel really welcome. Despite there being 21 of us, the hotel looked after us really well. The food was excellent, and we will certainly be making another trip to Kinross Golf Club and enjoy being spoilt at The Green hotel. Many thanks for a great time.

We last stayed here in 2018 it was a bit run down then but it is really bad now. The owners need to act quickly to save this hotel. The housekeeping is very poor dust under cabinets dirty skirting boards etc is nobody checking this? Good concert venue but doubt I will stay here again.

A friend and I arranged a joint afternoon tea party for 18 ladies. We reserved the lovely room overlooking the garden. We were served a wonderful tea, a delightful mix of finger sandwiches, mini quiches, sausage rolls, a fresh scone, a selection of mini cakes and mini fresh strawberry tarts. Jakub, the food and beverage manager, was always there at just the right time to resupply us with tea and hot water. We will be back!

Booked in for a couple of nights, first night was to see a band at Backstage at the Green, excellent! Hotel has lots of character and the rooms were comfortable and very clean, yeah a few of the carpets could do with being renewed but this just adds to the charm of the place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back again in the future.

Very friendly welcome and smart reception. However, as we started the route to our room the carpets were becoming more and more worn to the extent they were taped up in places but to be honest the hotel would have done better to have just taken them up completely. We opened the door to our room and on first impression were very impressed. No plug sockets on the bed side of the room (we had to get an extension lead for medical equipment). It was a sunny day so the room was flooded with light. This light also showed up the dust under the furniture. the ring round the door handle was loose, but this did not detract from the room. The bathroom had a shower over the bath which was powerful, but no grab rails. In the evening the room was incredibly dark as the only bright light was over the door. the only other room light was an dark shaded light on the dressing table with a low wattage bulb in it and similar bed side lights. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable - neither of us slept much. Breakfast was so unwelcoming. We were first in but were not given a nice table by the window. The menu said porridge was available, we were not asked if we wanted anything from the menu and when I asked about porridge I was met with the response "what with" to which I responded "fruit" as was stated on the menu. The response came back very rudely "no, water or milk" - this was not stated on the menu and the rudeness was not necessary. The breakfast food was nice, no cold meats as stated on the menu though. Spend some money on flooring, provide bedside sockets and brighter lighting, train your dining room staff to be polite and get your cleaners to use the nozzle on the vacuum cleaner.
