Hotel Baia Grande

this was our 6th visit and it was disappointing. We had a room as requested on third floor but unfortunately now found ourselves below the new restaurant. Woken every morning by 7 am ,with noise from above as the staff set food out, chairs moving in and out as people started arriving and then getting food, plus someone in high heels walking up and down. The actual restaurant is now a large long room, which involves walking from one end to the other to collect food. The food was never very warm, we have never seen the microwave used so much. The old restaurant used Bain Marie method of heating food which was better than now. The large room does not help with keeping food hot, plus the temperature of the room was on the cool side always. The cool food was complained about and when they tried to increase the heat the electrics went out. Most of the waiting staff need to improve vastly, guessing they were being trained on the job as it had only opened at beginning of February. The lad Andre on the door was the best thing about this new restaurant. Generally it felt like a canteen. Not much space between tables and the layout means moving around to get food, so constantly people are trying to get by with their meals. Regarding our room, after 5 days with no rain we were still getting water dripping all the time onto our balcony from the roof above, assume the new decking built for the outdoor area of new restaurant has a void below and water then runs from this onto the wooden roof of our balcony. The hotel was informed of the noise and water issue with our room, so maybe they can resolve them. We always praised the hotel especially for the food and atmosphere in the restaurant so this really disappointed us, we will not be going again.

Amazing hotel with lovely views, from start to finish what a lovley hotel, all staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble, bar tender was excellent, atmosphere was warm and very relaxing, rooms are very spacious with everything you need very clean, we were very close to the bar but it didnt wake us, location wise, it isn't close to anything but Uber and Bolt are very reasonably priced and very quick. Breakfast was a buffet with lots to offer.

Room and bathroom especially good condition all staff friendly and helpful pool nice and clean

Pool and poolside bar shut to early so you have to get cabs for evening entertainment evening entertainment in hotel was a bit boring
