Hotel Baia Grande

Location was fine if you have a car which we did. Good room, clean, good bar in the lobby, great staff.

It is not as luxurious as some other hotels in the area, seems targeted towards old people who stay there in large groups.

A localização, o estacionamento gratuito, muito perto de praias e de diversos caminhos para caminhadas. O pequeno almoço e o jantar foram maravilhosos, os alimentos estavam muito bem confecionados, parabéns ao cozinheiro ou chef. Os colaboradores sempre simpáticos e acima de tudo muito profissionais.

Apesar de não ser da responsabilidade do hotel e da sua Administração, não deixa de ser desagradavel a forma e o tom como os clientes conversam nos corredores do hotel, a qualquer hora, portanto proponho uma dose de boa educação aos utilizadores/clientes. Se estivessemos numa época de verão e por conseguinte muitos clientes, tudo seria mais movimentado, pelo que reitero que a educação e a responsabilidade devem estar sempre presente.

The Hotel is beautiful, however, it's very remote and too far to walk into the old town. Thankfully, the hotel offers a curtesy mini bus which helped us get out and about. The staff in the bar and restaurant were friendly. Especially, Andres, who greeted us with a beaming smile on a daily basis and gave us great advice on where to visit. He is a real asset to the Hotel. The hotel is spotless and has a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. We were blessed with beautiful weather during our stay.

We have been attending this hotel for functions and overnight stays for many years. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. It was the first time for my sister and her husband and they were more than happy with everything. Breakfasts are excellent. A short walk takes you to Praia da Coelho beach where there is also an excellent restaurant.

Just back from another 10 nights in this beautiful hotel. Rooms have tea and coffee facilities now and most rooms new walk in 🚿. Great breakfast choice as usual. Clean comfortable room . Big thank you to the staff for making our stay once again so memorable. Special thanks to Dora and Pedro for 1st aid advice!! Sorry we didn't get to say bye 😔 Also Andrew and Bruno in dining room for your smiles on a morning 😀 at breakfast. This hotel is first class with a lovely pool area pool bar and gardens. The piano bar has great staff / delicious cocktails and Carlos the singer/ guitarist was very entertaining. The food was excellent… so much choice and wonderfully cooked meat dishes - particularly duck veal lamb!!!! Shout out for Maria and her staff who work so hard and are so friendly too… Very clean and well presented hotel. One negative is it’s a little bit out on a limb and we required taxi to get us to Marina etc. Hotel does have shuttle bus into Albufeira.

Hotel and rooms very clean but need updating. Reception staff apart from one lady very rude and abrupt. Guy on the poolside bar was very polite. The pool is the nicest thing about the hotel. Entertainment is more geared towards retired couples ( that could be because it is slightly out of season now) area very quiet and few good restaurants locally. Need an uber or taxi to get into Albufeira. Good selection at breakfast. Overall impression from most staff was not overly friendly. We had a scorch mark on the wall above a socket and there were few ants in the bedroom and bathroom. No tea coffee in room. Would not stay again but we did have a relaxing time lazing around the pool. We did not feel there was much to do in the area full stop so Portugal is not very us. It depends on what you want from an area or hotel.
