Hotel Best Jacaranda

I will share positive and negative of this hotel. and there are not many positives. do not listen to the amazing reviews below, it will lull you into a trap. positive - its close to the beach. and maids are great. that about does it for positives. negative - staffing -- on arrival, reception staff rude, uninterested and I even once witnessed one of the staff mutter something under breath after a dissagreement. bar staff slamming fridge doors and one staff member didnt know how to pour a small pint. when attending the dinner hall for evening meal you needed to try and locate a staff member for a drink, please note you will not be asked if you would like one! it would be beneficial for the staff to undertake some training in customer service. Maintenance- in room we have exposed wiring on our kettle which does not work on arrival, door hanging off its hinges which is dangerous for children. room overlooks something from fast and furious, a dirty old parking lot. the pool on top floor has wooden peices missing and the floorboards. dented in when walking across pool, the ladder when leaving the pool is almost pulling away. the lower pool has bars missing where little children can easily get into the bigger pool, major hazard. the toilets had a major leak whilst we was staying, the leak occurred on the bottom floor, urine all over. this was also close to the pool area. cracks in the tiles on the lower area, main pool. easily lead to injuries. chairs in the entertainment room are faulty and there are missing wooden peices on the tables. noise levels, the rooms have paper thin walls. tragic really. Food - cold food AM and PM. the pool bar is open for dinner service, I witnessed birds eating from the buffet, this was not changed or replenished. the food was then consumed by children after the birds had been eating. if you are going all inclusive remember there are only 4 cocktails to choose from and lads please remember the ale is like warm carling. disaster. entertainment- for a family hotel the hotel is lacking. entertainment that was planned on the board but then didnt happen. the kids show lasts for 20 mins. no structure to the shows. when entering the venue the bar does not open for 20 minutes, sitting waiting for a drink. the shows finish at 10am. then your option is to attend the piano bar which reminded me of a funeral, lights turned on brightly with no atmosphere, all staff disinterested and the whole experience of the entertainment was diabolical. bingo with toothpicks instead of pens was interesting. please be aware that this is a cashless venue until you check out, if you are not all inclusive you will be asked to pay a bill at the end of your stay. hope this helps.

Excellent location, staff all friendly and couldn’t do enough for you! Lovely clean rooms, swimming pool options are brilliant, my 5 year old had the time of his life! Food choices excellent, already thinking about booking for next year

Hotel in general was passable, not 4*. Rooms are dated and need updating. Especially the bathroom. Our bath was showing rust on the side. Bathroom door and frame had damage caused by water. Floor tiles showing signs of some remedial grouting work.

Nice hotel, very good bedroom, outside was very good swimmingpools and we had a great week at the hotel.

Overall my holiday was amazing i believe a holiday is what you make it. I try not to dwell on the negative as it just ruins your holiday however for this review i will be honest Room. very happy big comfy beds big balcony kettle in room and fridge big bathroom hot shower Reception staff- the gentleman with the shaved head was so welcoming polite and helpful Buffet hit an miss the staff 10/10 the food lots variety but im fussy and struggled with the differnt meats Bar’s amazing during the day but at 6pm all outdoor bars close this is annoying it’s still very hot and would be nice to be able to sit outside and have an evening drink. Salon bar is inside and this is where the entertainment is the Micheal Jackson show was amazing. acrobat show was boring and like watching paint dry. the kids disco repetitive costumes looked like Halloween outfits and only on for half hour. The salon bar closes early around 10.30 you cant get a drink by 11pm the hotel turns all balcony lights off around 11pm so you can’t even sit outside there and have a drink after the entertainment has finished. Staff some walk round looking miserable and in snack bar staff extremely rude slamming fridges and here u go kind of attitude not what you want on a holiday u spent so much on. Pools. So around 6 in total ones on roof are the best I think more chilled kids had loads of fun choosing which pool an we spent a lot of happy times by pool Location amazing close to everything you need Hotel up keep I visited this hotel 20 years ago and it was so much nicer then. The tiles around the pool out side the kids club are broken with loose pieces very slippy floor. New pool being worked on that looks like it may have some features in it be interesting to see what it is. Overall I paid jus under 2000 for a family of 3 with a free child place fot 7 days it only cost me 3000 for Mexico for 2 people for 2 wks in comparison I feel this holiday over priced when you get here your encouraged to up grade your all inclusive to gold only 4 cocktails are included in the standard and they come out a machine and dont taste very nice any of the nicer ones you have to pay for felt it’s a bit of a con everything in Mexico was included in the price of the holiday. The hotel 20 years ago was so so much better the entertainment back then was amazing the staff back then were a lot friendlier. The big question would I stay here again……. Yes I would I did enjoy my holiday it really wasn’t all bad when talking to other guests was the same things they were moaning about a lack of smoking areas.

El hotel está muy bien. La habitación era muy amplia con vistas a las piscinas. Teníamos desayuno incluido, el buffet es muy grande y muy completo. La zona de las piscinas lo mejor, el agua increíble y se estaba de lujo. La ubicación está muy bien, al lado del paseo marítimo. Los empleados todos muy amables y una limpieza muy buena. Para repetir.
