Hotel Best Jacaranda

A really beautiful building and great choices of delicious food at every meal. However, the kids club was appalling. They coloured. That’s it. There’s nothing in the kids club area except tables and chairs and all they did was colour. No games, no activities, nothing. It is not clear what’s included in All Inclusive and what isn’t. No one tells you at any point you have to guess as you go along. The mini disco entertainers are sub-par, costumes are cheap and activities are repetitive. The entertainment space is old, worn and lack-lustre. There are few toilets anywhere except in rooms and the entire resort needs some serious TLC. Wouldn’t stay agin.

OK as always will start by saying these are out views and based on at least 30 holidays in varying locations and price ranges. I think people get too focused on star ratings and forget to just enjoy themselves after all do we really know why one hotel has three stars and another four? So the hotel itself is fine nothing 10/10 and nothing 0/10. Food and drinks all ok never went hungry or thirsty and for those who complain about the food being repetitive it is an all i inclusive hotel catering for many and go to your local restaurants and see how often their menu changes. We did not go to the entertainment as it did not look like it would be out thing but we did go to the Piano Bar each evening that we stayed in and that was good. Yes the pool was cold but I reckon that is because the water is cold once in it was fine. For value for money we felt it was rather good as we spent £500 less than my birthday treat ten years ago. Drinks were ok although we would have liked to have had a coffee liquor and amaretto on the all inclusive. The ones that we felt though that were rather poor were the wine in the restaurant and coffee. One last thing to bear in mind about renovations is that these cost money. We holidayed in Lanzarote 18 months ago and that hotel has been renovated we cannot afford it now as it has nearly doubled in price. The Best Jacaranda is fine just needs a little love and a touch up.

This is the second time we've been to this hotel and yes we will be back , the hotel it's self is lovely staff are friendly and helpful rooms are clean and tidy house clean come everyday to do towel change and make beds ,food there is enough choice for everyone, pools main pool is heated and other are cold but it's lovely in the hot weather, location just a 10 minute walk from beach,bar restaurants so in a great location hopefully be back in October

Cleanliness - rooms are not cleaned to a high standard. No soap in pool toilet for days even though I notified guest services. Toilets not cleaned enough throughout the day. Pool area had sticky surfaces and dirty tables, never saw any staff cleaning these areas. No plug socket next to kettle had to put on floor for it to boil. Tea & coffee etc never refilled. You do get complimentary soft drinks x 2 and a small water on arrival in your fridge. The safe is free which is a bonus. The towels were changed daily but the floors were dirty can only assume they’re done with dirty mops. We did have a coakroach in the bathroom twice. Some of the food at the pool snack bar is uncovered, the birds were flying in and pecking at the food. This put us off eating here. Random smell of cannabis throughout the day around the pool area. Maybe people on their balconies? Evening entertainment at The Salon was poor. The room is dark and lacks atmosphere, lots of broken chairs. We liked The Piano Bar and enjoyed the singers. The food was good with plenty of variety to suit everyone. Not enough staff on reception and quite miserable. On the plus side we emailed the hotel in advance as we were a large family group and they fulfilled our request to be near each other.

All staff very helpful, very clean room and daily maid service. Food was okay, buffet service, little bit bland but was fine. Great location
