Super 8 by Wyndham Spartanburg/I-26 Exit 22

Waited to check in for over 20 minutes. Attendant was getting cereal. Bathroom light didn't work. Guy was never available to fix. Room phone didn't work. Room smelled moldy.

Breakfast needs to be upgraded.

This property was a hang out for homeless and their breakfast was like a soup kitchen for them. They had people living in their cars on the parking lot that seemed to use the common areas and restrooms to supplement their living situation. The staff was very nice. Many of the community that hang out there were as well but clearly they weren’t all testing reality and needed psychological and rebab attention. One very large gay man invited me to be the driver to the strip club but I think he was just trying to get a job there. The whole atmosphere was very unhotel like.

Not my cup of tea.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! There were BLOOD STAINS AND MOLD all over the BED!!!! There were also roaches alive and dead crawling all over the room including the bed. Burn marks in the bathroom from lighters and broken switches. There was a live roach in the microwave whilst I was trying to make some food. The floors were absolutely FILTHY, they were sticky and left black marks all over the bottoms of my feet. There was trash stuffed behind the TV. There was so many homeless and drug addicts around the building and it was very sketchy, and made me feel unsafe. The towels were covered in stains. Doors were constantly slamming all night long. Key card kept messing up (we had to change it 4 times!!!) also had broken windows. I would highly advise that the health department comes and checks. This place out would definitely be shut down in business and we were scared to change rooms because the other reviews said that there were bedbugs in the other rooms beds.

The girl that check me in at night check me into a room that was already taken. When I open the door to my surprise it was a couple in there, banging I had to run out of there lol the worst.

I was very disappointed with having been assigned a room that was occupied. Then a room with a broke door. And on top of that I was charged early check in and took the next day for tv to work. It’s definitely time for a remodel and upgrade.

The woman working the front desk was swamped, but she was really courteous and helpful despite the difficulties she faced.

We stayed one night, reason we choose was our pet was travelling . Room smelled & my son had rashes next day. I dont know what bit him he has marks all over his body. Hotel cleanliness is questionable. I paid total around 125 i regreat my decision.

When we checked in there were no towels and the tv did not work, they furnished 1 set of towels for 2 people and fixed the tv. When i checked out i forgot to check the bathroom and left my shaving kit and when i discovered it missing i remembered where i hung it on the towel bar in the bathroom. When i called the hotel the cleaning crew had left for the day and the desk clerk checked thr room and no shaving kit so i can only the cleaning crew removed it when they cleaned. 2 subsequent calls to the hotel were met with no help in finding the kit. I. can only assume that the cleaning person removed the kit and kept it for herself or threw it away. This is not the type of employee i would want if i was in charge of a business that depends on travelers that need a good place to stay on their travels and for their comfort and safety. Needless to say, i will never stay at a Red Roof Inn on my travels from home to Florida and return. I have stayed a many Red Roof Inns in the past but never again and i will inform my friends that travel of my experience
