Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort & Spa

On arrival the reception staff member was very friendly and helpful. We were celebrating Mother's Day and there was a lovely bottle of chilled sparkling wine waiting in our room on our arrival. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The pool area was fantastic, and a la carte breakfast at the restaurant was delicious - the best breakfast we had during our entire time in Far North Queensland. Great location, easy to walk to beach and restaurants.

I had hoped the spa bath would have been bigger - it was a standard bath size. Reception wasn't staffed 24 hours, either in person or on the phone. On multiple occasions I tried to call reception during business hours and there was no answer.

Jackie and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, other than the weather which the hotel could not control. We enjoyed the easy walk to the main shopping centre and back, the staff was super friendly and a real credit to the organisation. karen and kingee at reception , marian at breaky and daza (i think) french coffee maker, sidra at the pool bar, I mentioned names because they all make a difference and jackie and I want to acknowledge that. A good gym but would be further enhanced by having some free weights, that’s inexpensive and would make all the difference.

The staff on checkin were amazing. The 2 bedroom roof top apartment was great. We invited some friends for a bbq and it was perfect for that. The kids love the pool. Restaurant was expensive but there are plenty of options around.

Can’t fault it

- The pool is amazing - The staff were really nice (1 or 2 didnt really have a personality) - I was able to check in by noon - The food was really good - I was happy being given a top floor room, even though the palm trees meant I had no view of anything at all

- The restaurant options were limited and expensive - The Poolside bar is listed as open 'until late', yet closed at 5:30 - The pool is listed as open until 10pm, yet the spa's heating was turned off and cold at night, and the entire pool areas lighting was not on at night. - There are no entertainment facilities like sports equipment, or games to use - Our rooms bathroom light was turned on, and only a massive frosted glass wall separated it from the beds. There was no visible lightswitch anywhere in the entire place to turn the bathroom light off. The glass window glowed like a bright TV all night long. It was only on our last day there that my daughter noticed a 3rd switch on the 2 socket powerpoint, which was hidden under a bathroom shelf that would turn the bathroom light off - My bed was on wheels, and any movement while laying on it caused it to literally roll around on the floor - The wifi was terrible, and dropped out every 10 minutes - The router in the room for the wifi was sitting on the beds side table. It was plugged into the wall behind my bed. Everytime my bed moved slightly(as mentioned above), it knocked the plug and we lost wifi. this is separate to the wifi naturally dropping out constantly
