"Disappointing"

4.0

Staff at front desk and at the pool bar were not well trained and lacked sufficient English skills. Not very informative on check in. Friendly and helpful but did not try to communicate the hotel facilities to us. Restaurant location, operating hours, no compendium in the room. Asked for directions to Palm Cove centre and got a vague hand gesture from the bar attendant. Asked for a pineapple and orange juice twice because he kept saying apple juice rather than the pineapple juice. You need better trained staff for a 5 star resort.

"Exceeded every expectation, didn't want to leave!"

10.0

It was incredible, exceeded my expectations. Only problem was bringing our luggage up and our gas bottle was empty (we just contacted reception and got a new one) , but otherwise it was amazing, would go again and recommend!

"Una triste y mala experiencia / Sad and bad expierence"

4.0

I went to visit my children who decided to live in Australia (Sydney) two years ago. I took them to see the Cairns Barrier Reef. I booked at the Pullman Palm Cove Temple Resort & Spa. We first wanted to change our room since the website didn't allow us to. They told us that in Australia we couldn't change it and we had to pay the listed price. We dealt with a receptionist who spoke Spanish (Ángela Leiva). She wasn't very friendly, but she was the one I could express my dissatisfaction with. We asked her to change our apartment since, despite it being a 5-star hotel, what we were paying wasn't up to par. We asked her for a tour, but she gave us one that was worse. We begged her if we could check out and she wanted to charge us the same price we paid for the three days. We told her that wasn't how it was in hotels, and she told us that her manager, who is Australian, didn't like Latin Americans (we are Argentinian), and that made us feel really bad. It was a horrible experience. My advice is to try to book in downtown Cairns, as this hotel isn't worth the money and is also very "VERY" far away, so you'll have to spend a lot on taxis or Uber. I booked it because it has a private beach, but the receptionist herself told us we couldn't go to the beach because there were jellyfish, so it seemed like the receptionist was telling us everything with malicious intent. I don't know if it was the receptionist, Angela Leiva, or—what she actually told us—that her Australian manager wasn't willing to make our stay pleasant, as she didn't like Latin American restaurants. On the other hand, the food at the hotel restaurant isn't good and the portions are very small. They also close at 8:00 PM. If you want to eat or drink later, there's nothing nearby. But the saddest thing I felt was what the receptionist told us, that the hotel manager, being Australian, didn't have any empathy for us. I don't know if it's true or not, since that's what the receptionist Ángela Leiva told us. That comment was really ugly, not to mention the money we spent on the poor service. Oh, and the condition of the rooms isn't 5-star. I'm warning you so you're forewarned, don't rely on the photos like I did.

"True Value for Money"

10.0

I stayed at Pullman Palm Cove in April. It was amazing value for money. This resort has many great qualities and Karen at reception is outstanding in terms of service and attention to detail. I did have concerns about the food and room service but to their credit they immediately refunded the orders, and management were incredibly quick to discuss my concerns face to face and apologise. My apartment was spacious and the bathroom had a terrific spa and its own pool. It was in a very quiet beautiful private treed position facing the beach. This resort has the advantage of being on the beach with no road traffic which I have found to be very noisy when I have stayed in other resorts on the esplanade side of Palm Cove. The French spa therapist at Vie Spa was excellent.

"Excellent resort"

10.0

Beautiful grounds. Close to the main area of Palm Cove for beach, restaurants, bars and shops. Gorgeous pools, convenient pool bar. We dined in yhe main restaurant once and the food was amazing - highly recommend it. Talk to George who is especially helpful and knowledgeable, or his assistant. Generally, the staff in the resort gave excellent and thoughtful service. I would certainly recommend the resort for a highly enjoyable holiday.

"Stunning Resort"

10.0

We have just spent 5 days at Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort and cannot think of another Resort we would rather have stayed at. The Resort is mind blowing and within walking distance of the Esplanade, which we thought is a blessing as it’s located in a quiet area. A huge thank you to George who has to be the “Employee of the Stay” - his service, assistance and friendliness needs to be commended. Also a big thank you to his assistant in the Restaurant, as well as the pool bar staff, who could not do enough for us.

"It was a relaxing stay as the place was fairly quiet during our stay, kids loved the pool."

7.0

Plenty of space, fully self contained rooms great for families. Great pool.

Place needs some TLC and basic maintenance. Things are worn out and need updating. General cleanliness of facilities and rooms needs to improve ie cobwebs, dead bugs (ceiling in bathroom in our room covered in dead bugs). Worn cabinetry, worn light switches (causing lights to flicker intermittently).
