"such an experience never again"

2.0

If you are looking for an understaffed hotel with long waiting times when ordering something, half baked pizza as lunch, hardly baked meat for dinner, elevators where you can see mold stains and pillows that give you a full male DNA profile of the previous sexually active occupant, then you are in the right place. As bonus you get a wild marriage party right under your window with drunk guests and a bad deejay going on to ten o'clock. Luckily the next morning you wait for 45 minutes for your breakfast and then have to leave without it because your tour is starting. Anyway, all five stars of disapproval very well earned.

"Slow slow service"

2.0

Ordered a coffee ( in fact I’m still waiting at the table now) it has been over half an hour and I have just had to get up and ask them where it was. Dreadful. Faster to have walked up the beach to Nu Nu , at least I would have got my coffee and a sea view!

"Magical pool, happy kids."

10.0

Surprised by the recent poor reviews. Our family is checking out of a 2 bedroom with rooftop spa this morning and have had zero complaints. We regularly stay at high end hotels/resorts and have had a beautiful stay at the Pullman Palm Cove. Our room had everything we could possibly need and felt well maintained. The resort as a whole was always clean and the garden meticulous. If you look closely you will notice staff working quietly in the gardens and cleaning the spectacular pool. The kids LOVED the pool and the complimentary noodles/ balls. Also a nice private access to the beach and short stroll to great ice cream shop. Our a la carte breakfast was great and the hostess lovely. We would happily stay again. (A small negative was that as a family of 4 with a few bags, we had to lug these to our room ourselves.)

"Regular reviews of apartments to ensure high standards are maintained."

6.0

We recently stayed at SeaTemple rooms 312&313 advertised as a 4 bed apartment. . This was arranged via expedia and the bookings were through Cairns Costal Holidays. Technically it was a 3 bed with an additional separate studio apartment. It feels like the family holiday is somewhat fragmented as you are not all staying in the one place. This worked okay for us however I could see this being a problem for a family with young children. The apartments themselves were tired and the 3 bed apartment did not have enough lounge seating . 1 x 2 seater wooden sofa and 2 chairs. The furniture was tired and uncomfortable. In the studio apartment there was evidence of a long term leak from the shower that went into the bedroom .This still persists. There was water damage to the bed base. The quality of the studio apartment bed and the main bedroom bed were pool quality My son and his wife ended up having to put his mattress on the floor . Our Internet was woeful which is problematic when you are on holiday with teenagers ,also when you are travelling and trying to secure onward arrangements and bookings . On a positive note the Sea Temple grounds and reception are beautiful . The pool bar facilities are great although the possible extension of its opening hours might be an advantage . The pool bar closes at 5.30pm. The onsite restaurant is a great amenity to have. I would like to suggest that Sea Temple stop the sunbed sniping people reserving sun beds with towels from as early as 6am not something you expect from a high end Hotel.

"1/5 — Extremely Disappointing Family Experience"

2.0

We’re currently staying in Room 318 and have been really disappointed with the overall service and hospitality. The setting and facilities have a lot of potential, but the way the resort is being managed right now is not meeting even basic expectations — especially for families during school holidays. Breakfast has been extremely slow both mornings, taking over 1.5 hours each day with young children waiting. There were no pancakes for kids, no pastries available at all, and long delays — 30 minutes to be served and 45 minutes before drinks arrived. It’s clear the restaurant is severely understaffed for the number of guests staying here. The pool bar has also been frustrating. Our orders were forgotten two days in a row, and even when they were finally remembered, drinks during happy hour still took around 35 minutes to arrive — again, only one person working behind the bar to serve everyone. It’s a real shame because the resort itself is lovely and could be a fantastic experience with proper management and adequate staffing. At the moment, it feels completely overwhelmed and unorganised. We’ve asked to have our breakfasts credited so we can eat off-site, and we’ve spoken to several other guests who’ve had similar issues. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because this place could be so much better than it currently is.

"Magic, relaxing, family time and never long enough!!"

9.0

The facilities and location

The length it took for breakfast to arrive on a few of the mornings. One took an hour for the food to arrive. I felt for the staff though - they were doing everything they could though, and we could tell it wasn’t their fault at all.

Hard to go wrong with the Pullman in Palm Cove. Initially, we were given a very dark, small, ground floor room, but after asking, we were moved to a lovely room on the 4th floor with great balcony and pool view. The landscaping around the whole complex is brilliant. Staff were friendly. Day spa beautiful and relaxing. Beach access incredible. Pools are unheated, which wasn’t for us, but lots of other people (especially kids) were loving it! Would definitely recommend staying here. Already booked my next stay!!
