Econo Lodge Freeport - Brunswick Area

The location was good for traveling

This Hotel should be close by the city. There are huge giant cockroach in the room cabinet and washroom walking around in daylight. Informed the service and reception office, seems like they don,t care. This is so normal to them

We had a lovely stay at Econo Lodge. The first room we were given smelled strongly of smoke and marijuana and the aircon unit was really loud. However, we were given another room upon request, no problem. We are a family of 4 and we thoroughly enjoyed eating at Buck's barbeque across the road. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try out the amazing beers in the brewery hall next door, but we called in to see it and it looks amazing. The hotel is ideally located for sightseeing - we thoroughly recommend Winslow Memorial Park for swimming and a picnic, it's really beautiful. In fact, next time we will skip Sebago and Little Sebago Lakes, which we found a bit nondescript, and we will stick to sightseeing along the coast near the motel. Thanks for having us!

The staff on duty when we checked in wasn't exactly rude, but he was rather unwelcoming after a long drive. It would have been nicer to be greeted after a long drive with a smile and a welcome.

Cheaper than other hotels. Plenty of hot water.

The hotel needs updating, the floor needed to be cleaned, the Wi-Fi wasn’t good and the breakfast was very little so we ate out. Won’t be going back again. Very disappointing.

the location for what we were doing there.

The whole room and especially the bathroom smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. The furniture was stained and also smelled poorly. The door in the front office was broken, the office also smelled of cigarette smoke and there were other patrons smoking on the balcony right outside of the rooms.

Keys wouldn’t work, was given two more keys which also didn’t work. Ended up moving rooms, only one key worked and then the next morning neither worked. The gentleman at the counter was visibly bothered by me asking for help. Just an unpleasant encounter. When I was actually able to get into the room it was clean, no problems there.
