Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, Villa Roma is the place to stay. If you like to keep busy, also Villa Roma. Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, Villa Roma is a beautiful retreat. The staff and the regular time share owners are friendly and welcoming. Doc Holiday and his group host many fun activities. Among them are (wooden) horse, turtle and duck races, concerts, bocce, tours, etc. The Tribute to the Troops is a must see! Doc & Joy are exceedingly talented. Doc engages the audience and is the best activities person ever! His talents seem endless. I definitely plan to return...hopefully soon.

Check in is at 4, oitdoor pool.closes at 5pm. Theres no time. Indoor pool not closes at 1pm. Waste of money this weekend

They are horrible. The check in took hours and the rooms weren’t ready. Everything is very outdated. It’s like going back in time. They actually hand u a metal key. Old small elevator. Dinner was supposed to be at 6pm. I am here with 150 ladies at a convention. We r seated at table they then say dinner is at 8pm cause they are backed up. 8:40 still haven’t had dinner. Every store is overpriced 5 handicap spaces and the parking lot is a block away. Small small tvs and old air conditioners that are super noisy. The bellhops were nice. Pass on this place not worth it. The bell hops were nice.

There were aunt’s the sound proof was none existent. Could hear a child running all day and all night in the room above me. The phone in the room would not work. I have been trying to contact the property for a missing item I don’t have anymore and they will not return my emails or calls. Other than that. It was a good location for going to a concert at bethel woods.

Hotel is old and in need of renovation. Still charging top dollar like in its hey day Park across street and walk with no crosswalk to hotel Breakfast took forever due to a lack of kitchen staff No conditioner in two rooms

Reception was rude and the rooms are very old and outdated with ceiling tiles caving in and mold coming out of the ac units

Came with my school for a Senior Class Trip! We had 43 seniors. They were very welcoming and especially helpful with the food service. They helped some of our more picky eaters make sure they had something for each meal! They also helped our vegan staff members! Amazing service from Andrea and everyone in the kitchen/serving staff. Thank you!

Have done 3 exchanges with Interval International to stay at VR,last being October 2023. All were enjoyable stays, talk about new owners were being rumored then. Our 2 night stay last week was a Hotel stay at VR in a one bedroom efficiency, check in was quick but was alarmed when handed 2 keys, the one that go in a lock and turned to open door, been 20 years since I did that, plus to close the door the interior lock had to turn or door would stay half open. Room was cleaned but furniture was outdated and need of replacement. Couch cushions too low from year's of use which made us 65 plus folks not use the couch because tough time getting out of it, 2 chairs were the saving grace of living area sitting. Bed were comfortable. We were attending a Bethel Woods Event that night. What makes VR a good stay is the STAFF, HATS OFF to Mckenzi ,Christian and the Chef from the Roman Gardens ,food was excellent, we had breakfast and dinner there both days. Chef actually came out an ask about the spiciness of wife shrimp dirvolio I had the bolingneas both were excellent but I would definitely recommend the SMASH BURGER we loved them. Staff at the mezzanine bar were the best too, Savanna who filled us in on Updates that will happen. I wish GOOD LUCK and look forward to UPGRADES and changes coming at VR. We plan to exchange back to VR, Late this year or next fall.
