Lamothe House

Street is quiet, but very short walk to Bourbon Street. The facility was clean. Room was a nice size. Be comfortable! Staff, super helpful and really kind! The price for a night stay was decent. Facility is secure, only guest with a room key can enter! Many cameras. The pool was nice bonus!

The only complaint that i have is about another guest. Someone was smoking Marijuana and the smell came into my bathroom.

Good location! The property is outdated, I get the old vibe and it’s nice, but they should add practical appliances like microwave and mini fridge to the rooms. And the air conditioning should be fixed or changed for a bigger unit because the it does not cool enough, especially like the big room we stayed in.

Voor een authentieke NOLA experience ga je hierheen. Het huis is 200 jaar oud en staat in de karakteristieke wijk French Quarter. De jazz cafe’s op frenchmen street zijn om de hoek, evenals het modernere Bourbon street. Downtown is veel moderner allemaal maar dat wilden wij niet. Het huis is dus oud, van hout, met zo’n oude krakende trap en schattige balustrade. De binnentuin is groen en in de middagen hebben we daar gelegen bij het zwembad. Er is nog een huis dat hoort bij het hoofdgebouw waar je via de achteruitgang, straat oversteken komt. Daar zitten ook kamers. Ook de parkeerplaats is bij die straat, vlakbij. Klinkt ingewikkeld maar het is al snel heel logisch en makkelijk.

We hadden 2 kamers die helaas, door de drukte, ver uit elkaar lagen.

De ligging in het French Quarter

De luide airco die continu aan moest staan vanwege het enkele glas. Dat kan ook niet anders vanwege de historische panden, maar toch wel een belangrijk ding.

Lamothe is close to ALL the action: Frenchmen, French Market, Bourbon st, canal for public transportation. The pool is open all night for an even dip. And the staff is wonderful! Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Nice and easy access

One faucet handle was loose and a bedside lamp didn’t work. These are minor inconveniences and did not affect our stay!

A very lovely French style hotel with the most amazingly helpful staff who went above and beyond to help us when we needed some assistance. We cannot thank them enough - the hotel is situated in the French District of New Orleans and is close to all the bars, shops and markets you could wish to visit. It is just a few blocks to the Mississippi paddle steamer and very walkable to the river, Bourbon Street, and even nearer to Frenchmen Street. This town is full of friendly people and we felt very safe in the day and at night. Thank you again for a wonderful three day holiday.

Was blown away by our room! Exceeded my expectations, and the staff were so helpful!

An absolutely lovely hotel. The room was very spacious and air conditioned. The staff went above and beyond expectations with their helpfulness - we cannot thank Palestine Riles enough! We would recommend this hotel to everyone - it is situated in the French district and very close to Frenchmen Street where we enjoyed many music sessions and lovely food. Thank you for everything!
