Park Plaza Resort - Park City, Ascend Collection Hotel

We originally planned a four night stay and liked it so much we extended our stay for another four nights. Great location and staff.

Covered parking and free laundry facilities!

I was disappointed with my stay. The heater in my room was not working, and I feel like I got a cold from being in such a cold room. We did let the front desk know and they provided us with space heaters. However that did not provide an immediate fix. At one point we were sleeping in our ski clothes in order to keep warm. Thankfully our room had two bathrooms, because the bathroom connected to the bedroom smelt so bad. We had to make sure the bathroom door was closed at all time in order to contain the awful odor. This smell was continuous throughout our stay. In addition to this, one of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of their hot tub. The hot tub/pool area was under construction. The staff was kind and professional, and I feel like all of the issues we had were essentially out of their control.

The swimming pool and jacuzzi were under construction. That was not noted in the description and I chose this property over another because it advertised an indoor pool. However, they still charged a "resort fee" on top of the room charges. The room was clean but carpets and furnitures were old and stained.

The Park Plaza has nice rooms and facilities. When their renovation is complete, it will be a top hotel for the Park city area.

Renovation not communicated

The people at the front desk were courteous and friendly. The HVAC unit did not function for 2 days. The room was not refreshed for the entire 4 nights of my stay. There was no meal service of any type ( not even vending machines from which to obtain drinks or snacks). The location was quite remote from the Main Street area and the slopes.

Good location & the price was right. The floors are squeaky & they are remodeling the indoor pool which is empty of water. Many of the rooms overlook this inner atrium.

Wonderful location, close to restaurants and only a few minutes to Deer Valley Ski Resort. Loved the gas fireplace in room and nicely stocked kitchen. Underground garage so don’t have to heat up car or scrape the snow off. Was very quiet while we were there. Would definitely stay again.

Large suite, fireplace, comfortable bed, friendly efficient staff. Indoor parking is very nice in winter. Pool was being renovated but we did get notice of that at booking.
