USUSWhen we entered the hotel, no one was at the front desk, but we had already checked in online and had a digital key, so we went straight to our room. The room had a very stale smell. My wife thought it was mildew and there was a water stain on the ceiling by the window. I couldn’t figure out whether it was a smoking room, a pet friendly room or just very out dated, but it stunk. We went out to get something to eat, came back and it still stunk. It wasn’t a smell you could ignore. It gave me a headache. In hindsight, we should have asked for a new room. The TV did not work. The clock on the night stand did not work. The lobby was in better condition than our room and we had no complaints with the free breakfast. Maybe we got the one bad room, but we wouldn’t chance it again.
Hotel could not verify that I still had room from Expedia. Had to pay full price plus taxes.
