Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge

DON'T STAY HERE!! As a Hilton Honors member, I'm familiar with the brand but I was utterly horrified by the condition of this location. Where do I start? The smell of mold and damp permeates every area, the stained carpets reek and obviously haven't been cleaned in some time. Dust, grime, crumbs and mouse droppings are present in the common areas and the outside common areas suffer from differed maintenance, weeds growing thru cracked concrete, soiled outdoor cushions, cigarette butts and debris present on check-in remained at check-out. The rooms are in serious disrepair with moldy bathrooms, wobbly toilets and peeling wallpaper, ripped soiled curtains and drapes and rude staff who need training in customer service. Most staff were pleasant and accommodating but David in particular, the night check-in was extremely rude when I requested another room because of these issues. I must commend the general manager Mark Muniz, who acknowledged my complaints and tried to make some amends. We’re here for my wife's surgery at Wills Eye Hospital as this location was in close proximity but had I known just how bad it was, we would've never stayed here and I wouldn't advise you to either.

Close by my family, mall, park. Great location.

The check in person refused to enter our hilton honors number and said that there was no credit since we had booked through expedia. But the following day the receptionist was easily able to enter the hilton honors number. The key cards didn't work and we had to take them back to the reception twice. The same rude person was on duty and continued to be rude. The soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower should not be attached to the wall with some adhesive as they don't stay put and had fallen to the floor. Very poor design.

Clean, specious and comfortable room. Hot breakfast items were not very warm or breakfast meat overcooked and hard.

Room size was amazing…. And very quiet.

Run down, grimy, and old. My room had a funky smell, the bed reeked of a stench that ended staying on me even after I showered and washed 2 times! I do not recommend anyone paying to stay here.

Stay clear! This hotel is in shambles. It definitely needs a remodel. The room smelled like smoke and mold. The couch was ripped, stains everywhere and not clean. My coworker and I ended up finding another hotel to stay at that night because it was so gross.

One night stay comfortable and suite clean. Would stay again.
