Campanile Cardiff

Could not sleep all my body started to itch had to sleep somewhere else.and the guy at counter was very rude his reply when i told him was only if it was true.

The hotel is very much in need of a revamp, carpets in rooms are dirty beyond what vacuuming can do, they need cleaning or changing. The bathroom, tiles are going to fall off the wall soon, the tikes are actually loose and the grout has cracked and is yellow. Sealant around bath has black mold. The room is exposed to the nearby room noise and I woke at around 4am each morning. Due to the noise. I had window closed and shutter on outside down tight. Breakfast was good, but evening meals were mixed. i had an excellent pie, but a creamy mushroom starter was nothing like menu photos or indeed the same meal I have had in another campanile hotel. Staff were very helpful. I wouldn't stay again though.

In urgent need of a revamp. 1970’s motel. Many better hotels around at this price level. Receptionist was polite, room was clean, just looked awful.

The site is steeply sloped, very difficult for the less able. While the reception and restaurant are good, the accommodation is old, in need of maintenance, decorating, plumbing, and some new beds. The staff are brilliant, helpful and smiling, doing their best against awful odds.

My room smelled disgusting of damp cig smoke dirtysocks carpet dirty bathroom smelled lile men public loo towles very old gone grey tread bare whole a place needs refurbishment asap i will never go there again it was cheap but not worth it id rather pay more the walls are thin could hear some woman coughing all night

Needs updating. Toilet dirty generally not clean dark .the outside stairs need sweeping and jet washing

The hotel was an odd layout and didn’t feel very secure, with people walking past the room all night and this meaning anyone from the public could have been around. the room was tidy but outdated and quite dusty. The bathroom smelt bad and wasn’t very clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We would stay here again. For the money you pay, you get everything you would want. We were there one night and didn't try the breakfast. Bar snacks were over priced so we wouldn't buy from there again. Staff weren't particularly friendly, but did nothing wrong. Could hear most noises through the walls and (closed) windows.

The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The property itself now becoming a little worn.
