Outside of property could do with some refurbishment and TLC

We did not like it because it was very tied need décor updating. Heating did not work well. Extractor in bathroom did not work and cracked lampshades and poor lighting.

comfortable and clean but didnt help with the people up above and there squeaky bed keeping us awake most of the might lol

Hotel was ok the only problem was there was a very noisy water pump below our room that went on late into the night and started again early in the morning. So not much sleep

The Campanile can be found tucked away at the end of a small business park overlooking the nearby A48 (although I didn't find the noise from the traffic to be particularly intrusive). Unfortunately, first impressions are not good - the external decor is drab and not particularly inviting, the signage is uninspiring, and the general air of the site is that of a rundown holiday camp from the 1950s. My room was small but adequate and spotlessly clean, whilst the decor was bland, rather careworn and in desperate need of a refresh. The biggest disappointment though was the plumbing, the constant whining / droning noise from which was very annoying. The 'shower' should really be renamed as a 'dribble' due to the low flow and pressure and, on the first morning, the temperature kept fluctuating between freezing and tepid. This hotel really needs to up its game if it is going to genuinely compete for guests with the nearby Premier Inn and Ibis hotels.

excellent for stopover, room very clean , and quiet ,all as expected

Great hotel, don't expect full on luxury, but it does what it says on the tin. Very clean, bathroom looks a little tired, but the shower is fantastic. Hotel staff brilliant and very friendly, and the food served for dinner and breakfast was very good. Excellent for the price. Give it a go :)

Convenient location for me, great value, I always use this hotel when I'm in Cardiff.
