Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas - All Inclusive

The resort was great! It was very clean, everyone was very nice and helpful. We’ve been to other RIU resorts and this one was just as great as the others.

Was our first trip to Mexico and had a blast. The resort was amazing. Champagne when we arrived to check in was a treat. All of the staff were very helpful and polite. All of the food choices were astounding. Anything you could want was available. Stocked mini fridge and bottle dispensers in the room (all included) was a new sight for us. Definately get a shuttle booked to the airport as it's 45-60min away, and would be an expensive taxi ride. Would recommend to anyone. We stayed 5 days and didn't even check out the other resorts we also had access to.

This review is a few months late, we went in February for 3 weeks and it was our third, three week stay at the RIU PALACE CABO SAN LUCAS and not a complaint. Prior to arrival we contacted the Customer Service/Reception Manager with a room request and it was granted. In fact on all three of our trips our room location requests have been met. What a great way to start a holiday. The RIU is our first choice no matter where we travel and it never disappoints. We enjoyed the varied restaurants and found the quality and selection of food great. We enjoyed all the RIU parties, so much fun.. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Staff are helpful, friendly and always willing to offer assistance. Our room was perfect with no complaints about maid service at all. Fridge was stocked regularly and if you made any requests they were met immediately. We are beach people and disappointed by the 8 palapas blocking the ocean view. There is a $50 per day fee to use them and many days there were fewer then 3 or 4 in use, some days none were in use. You could not put your beach chairs on any part of the beach in front of them, it really took away from the entire esthetic beach scene but we made do. We love the location close to the marina, and easy 20 minute walk or $10 cab/ Uber ride. We love everything about this resort and of course will be back.

We had 2 rooms booked and requested that they be near each other and on an upper floor (there are only 5 floors). Upon check with Enrique, who was not friendly and gave poor directions on how to get to one of the rooms, we discovered one room was on the 2nd floor and the other was on floor 00! Our friends had a difficult time finding their room. Both were reserved as Oceanview rooms, but ours was at the back of the courtyard and our friend's room was on the beach (same price). The parties at RIU Santa Fe, next door were extremely loud and went on til midnight. Our walls were thumping with the music. The buffet was great for breakfast and dinner and the Japanese restaurant was delicious. The steakhouse was by far the BEST! The Italian restaurant decent. We were not aware that we had to turn our pool towels in when checking out and had to go back to the room to get them. They asked for the room keys when we checked out as well. We had one accessible but the other was somewhere in a suitcase. We were charged a small fee for the 2nd key. Typically we never leave our key card when we check out of a hotel/resort as it has credit card and personal information on it. We enjoyed our trip but weren't happy that our rooms were so far apart and the noise was over the top. We have been to Cabo 3 times, 1st time at this resort. We will return to Cabo but not stay with RIU again.

I thought highly of all amenities. The food was great. Since this was all inclusive, the staff availability of food and beverages is easily accessible. The food was really good. Beautiful scenery, clean rooms and the staff are all very nice and caring. Hotel is at beach but still 10 mins away so not in the middle of town which is more peaceful but close enough for an inexpensive quick ride by uber.

Good clean hotel, buffet good, service good, restaurant not bad. Only two major issue: 1> They published wrong info on website about having Bombay restaurant but it is already closed six month back. Seems like they try to hide that info to attrack customer. 2> On web site says you can eat in next door Riu Santa Fe and Baja California but when went there they said we can only eat there in buffet but not in restaurant. That is also felt cheated to us.

My first time to Cabo and I was very impressed with the hotel amenities, service and friendliness… let’s not forget amazing food because that is important! I will definitely be going back!

My husband and I returned for our second time to this resort! We had not one complaint! Everything was perfect!

Hotel Riu Palace Cabo is a beautiful hotel. The staff is incredible, and the food is delicious! The only down side is, It's an old hotel, and the pool really shows it. There is rust on the intake water valves, the tiles are chipped and coming out all over, One swim up bar had the entire table closed off because it was falling apart. However, that being said, the hotel was very clean! The stall work really hard cleaning and wiping down everything! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!
