Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas - All Inclusive

The hotel is very nice, safe and quite and peaceful in May, not even 50% full, large swimming pools and seats, the food was great, Lamp Chops, Salmon and lobsters, the Alcohol is real (No fake or cheap), stuff are very nice and helpful, even going outside to downtown Cabo and down town San Jose were very safe and nice, the only down side is the Beaches, they are not for swimming they said they are dangerous it goes deep rom 2 feet to 8 feet rapidly

Everything was good from the check in to the staff and entertainment team as well as the great choice of delicious food options something for everyone

We stayed one week at the Riu Palace with family and friends and overall had a great experience. I shared a swim-up pool room with my girlfriend, and the biggest standout was the cleanliness. This was honestly one of the cleanest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. Staff were constantly cleaning, and the entire property was very well maintained. Cleanliness gets an easy 5/5. The food was another huge highlight. I’m normally not a buffet person, but the buffet here was excellent — honestly some of the best resort food I’ve had. I ate there most of the trip because it was consistently that good. Family and friends also enjoyed the specialty restaurants. Food gets another 5/5. The value for the money was definitely worth it, especially with access to the Santa Fe and Baja California resorts as well. Our room was very clean, though it stayed a little warmer than we preferred. The bed was slightly firm, but overall we slept fine. Customer service was mostly good, but I’d rate it 3.8/5. Communication could sometimes be difficult because limited staff spoke enough English to help with questions, so translation apps became useful. The resort is also very large, and the maps/orientation could definitely be improved because elevators and floors can be confusing at first. The biggest downside was the Wi-Fi. It was very unreliable throughout the Palace resort. Phones constantly lost signal and drained battery trying to reconnect, and remote work was basically impossible. As for entertainment, the resort becomes very quiet at night. I personally enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, but my girlfriend wished there were more adult-oriented evening activities. Many late-night theater shows focused on children’s entertainment, while the themed parties were more geared toward a younger pool-party crowd. Overall, I would absolutely return for the amazing food, spotless cleanliness, relaxing atmosphere, and overall value. If you want nonstop nightlife or strong Wi-Fi, this may not be the best fit. But for relaxation and great food, it’s definitely worth considering.

One of our favorite places to go because of the service, views, and weather. Food is good and like the addition of the Spanish restaurant but some of the other specialty restaurants are difficult to get in.

I stayed there with my family while attending a wedding in Cabo. Overall, the hotel infrastructure and facilities were very good. The food was okay, although my wife was less positive about it than I was. What really shocked me was the poor quality of the alcohol. The wines were terrible, and the margaritas tasted like strong, low-quality tequila. They served a nice margarita upon arrival, and I actually had to go to the main bar to get that same version again because the ones served elsewhere were almost undrinkable.

The location was convenient to the beach and the room had sufficient space.

We were celebrating a birthday and I requested something for the birthday person and never received it.

Our stay at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas was excellent. Good service, lots of food choices. Housekeeping always prompt and efficient. I would give this a 5 star but our experience on the last day forbids that. Our transfer back to the airport was included and prearranged and confirmed. At the arranged time we were in the lobby with our son and grandsons. There was room for them on the van but not the 2 of us. Staff at reception were not helpful until my husband asked to speak to the manager who then sent someone to Destination Services ( transport company) to find out the problem. A “van is on the way but stuck in traffic”. After 35 min of waiting, the 11 people waiting opted to call a taxi which was there within 5 min. The driver got us to the airport at ~2:30 for our 4:00pm flight. The fare was USD $20pp. This begs the question…” does Destination Services have a arrangement with the taxi company? Our last day there was extremely stressful. Staff at reception were initially reluctant to help. Staff at Destination Services were less than helpful. In the end, we hope to get our refund for the taxi fare.

The staff is very attentive and friendly at RIU. Food is great, especially for an all-inclusive. Rooms have everything you need and beds are very comfortable. It is a very relaxing resort.

Friendly staff, excellent selection of food, will come back, one thing missing ...shuttle from and to the airport.
