Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas - All Inclusive

I am not writing this out of personal grievance. I am writing this because a fellow traveler almost certainly never recovered her wallet — and the staff at Riu Palace are directly responsible. On April 22, 2026, at approximately 11PM, I found a wallet containing cash, credit cards, and personal items belonging to a guest at this property. As a guest of a neighboring resort, I took it entirely upon myself to walk to two separate properties until I identified the correct one as Riu Palace. That effort was voluntary, immediate, and done in good faith. I approached the Riu Palace front desk and requested that the guest be called down for a direct handoff. I was told it was too late to call her room. I accepted that and asked that my phone number be logged so she could reach me in the morning. For approximately two minutes, I stood at that desk repeating this request to the front desk clerk — Manuel — who wrote down my number and never once touched a keyboard. Nothing was entered. Nothing was noted. No action was taken. I then asked Manuel to involve his supervisor. He told me his supervisor was not available. Every decision Manuel made that night served one purpose: to get that wallet out of my hands and into his. Every avenue that would have reunited that guest with her belongings was closed — the room call, the phone number log, the supervisor escalation. All of it, denied. Her wallet was never returned as it didn't contain her identification. I attempted to locate her on social media on my own time and was unsuccessful. The effort I extended as a stranger exceeded what your own staff was willing to provide. To management: this was not an oversight. This was a pattern of deliberate inaction by Manuel on April 22. I strongly urge a review of your lost-and-found protocols and after-hours accountability procedures. To future guests: a property's integrity shows in moments exactly like this one.

This is a gorgeous hotel with very friendly staff. Very clean and our room was kept clean every day with a gorgeous view of the pools and beach. The RIU app is perfect to check on restaurant opening times as well as reordering extra water or drinks for your room , which were all delivered very quickly as well as our safe was fixed very quickly due to battery being low. Lobby bar was our favorite place to hang out every night and want to thank Diane, Kevin and Octavia who always made sure we didn’t go low on our drinks. Only suggestion to the hotel is to put more entertainment on in here as they only had two acts a week and we were there for two weeks. We got to visit every restaurant although the steak restaurant did get very busy so recommend to get there between 6 and 7 , you may be given a buzzer but ours didn’t go off and we waited over a hour by time we went down to the restaurant he said it was full and he had been buzzing us !!! We did complain at the time and he managed to fit me and my husband in. But the buzzer needs to be checked it’s working first. The pools were lovely and refreshing, weather was perfect. Never needed to get up early for a sun lounger as there were soooo many to choose ! Location was great and if you want to visit town then I recommend a Uber which you need to leave hotel to get this which was a short walk down hill near security gate. We would definitely visit again.

For the third consecutive year, my wife and I, together with our two daughters and their boyfriends, enjoyed a great week at the RIU Palace. I highly recommend this all-inclusive resort for couples or extended families.

Riu Palace Cabo was an amazing vacation. The entertainment is not quite as good as Riu Dunamar in Cancun; however, the food, location, and views are much better. Our kids, 13, 19, 20, 21, and 21, all had a great time. They preferred the Palace over the Santa Fe next door, which was a bit grubby, filled with wasted young adults. Nice to have the option to visit and enjoy their night entertainment, but it's best to stay at the Palace!!

I absolutely loved the staff. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always smiling. You can truly tell they care about the guest experience. The resort was consistently clean, and you could see how hard everyone works to maintain it. The food was also amazing, easily some of the best I’ve had, and I’ve traveled to many places.

The only thing I would suggest is giving more back to the employees and the local community. The staff does such an incredible job, and it would be great to see them have a dedicated space within the restaurants where they can relax, eat, and also feel more connected. Creating moments where staff and guests can interact in a more relaxed way could make the experience even more special.

Well maintained with a lot of different areas to sit/visit within the resort with a different ambience to suit all moods. Places to relax that were quiet with awesome views as well as places with high tempo/exciting venues at the same time not to mention the beach access and two other hotels to visit within bars everywhere.

Room service took a little longer than expected. Trying to get extra coffee packets took 4 calls and 3 hours. Limited items on room service for food. Also, they would not let uber drivers come up to the property, you have to walk down to the street/5-10 min walk to get to your uber which is half the price of the taxi services that they do allow on the premises.

Staff were great, rooms were clean and constantly replenished, food eas good, we enjoyed it

Wish we could've gotten in the ocean but under tows currents bad in that location
