Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas - All Inclusive

The property is beautiful, the staff is nice and very attentive, the fun team was definitely fun and of course the view/environment was gorgeous. The reason for the lower rating overall is because I got food poisoning from the steakhouse restaurant on my third day. I was severely vomiting and had diarrhea for two days straight. The resort sent a doctor who gave me two shots in my butt to help me stop vomiting. I was then charged $243. I can’t believe that they made me sick and then charged me to make me well, but I was so sick that I was willing to pay anything at that point. The next day when I was packing my stuff I went to my little change purse where I had $80 cash and of course it was gone. So, make sure to keep anything of value in the safe, because the room attendants will steal and there is no way to prove it. I will not be going back there since it is all inclusive and I refuse to ever eat in their restaurants again, so I will find a new resort for my next trip!

We stayed 5 nights include Easter. It was busy but not too crazy. We used transportation offered by Riu. Airport pick up was with big bus. About 30mins we waited to fill seats on the bus. We always find seats for breakfast around 8:30-9am. After that, there are some chairs available by the pools(not so many though, people reserve with towel early morning). Dinners, we tried to be on the list before 7pm, get buzzer(you can wait from anywhere in hotel) Usually 1 hr waiting. But steakhouse, you need to get in line early(even before open time). we lined up at 6pm, wait around 1hr. I liked Mexican and Steak house most. There are always staffs available for drinks around pools. You will noticed rooms worn out little bit. We stayed jr suites. family of 4 had enough space to move around. I would definitely go back.

This was our first family vacation since 2 of our kids were diagnosed with Celiac. All the restaurant staff were knowledgeable, careful and helpful, The buffet had GF snacks, pasta, cookies & crackers! The food was outstanding! The pools were fantastic with lots of chairs & umbrellas. Rooms were clean & secure. The only 2 downsides were needing towel cards and the rooms had 2 double beds instead of queen.

Great location! Dayana, Carla, Simon, and Pablo did a great job taking care of us every day of our trip. Looking forward to our next trip there.

Resort was well maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. They really need handrails on the pool stairs in all of the pools. The kids liked on in the Santa Fe side and it seemed to be the only one without handrails on the pool stairs. Saw them every other pool. It made it very difficult for older adults to enter and especially to exit the pools. I also wish that you could make reservations at the restaurants. Went to the steak house on the Palace side, waited in line, and when we got to the front of the line, was told there would be an hour and a half wait, but the restaurant seemed empty. There were a lot of empty tables. We had a good time, but other than those two things.

The location of the resort was great, a beautiful view, and the staff were all amazing!

Long walk to marina, shopping - on the fringe. Beach wasn’t the best for swimming (enormous waves).

Our room was well located for access to all the things we wanted to use. Only 5 minutes from our room to the pools and food locations. Easy access to the lobby as well. Enjoyed the swim up infinity bar pool every day. I will definitely be making this Riu Palace my primary vacation spot.
