Metro Hotel and Cafe

Fun and funky hotel decor, crepes in the morning, and great location, walkable to.lots of Petaluma downtown shops, etc. Loved the sweet, air conditioned Airstream trailer. Nice staff.

Some minor street noise from cars, but it didn't bother us too much.

I have stayed at Metro 3x for work trips and it's a special treat- like I'm staying in Paris. And the morning crepes are the bomb.

Very cute spot in a charming old building pretty darn close to downtown center. Run a little more like a hostel (front door has a code and the kitchen is open to utilize when the cafe isn’t open) kitschy little room that was very cute. Note the in-room coffee isn’t free though! Overall a great stay for the 1 night I was there

Metro is a beautiful, eclectic property that takes excellent care of their guests. The grounds create such a peaceful and calming space. The pet chickens are adorable and were fun to observe. The French-themed breakfast and design is a delight and has a warmth and welcoming to it that really sets a person in a great mood. The staff were thorough and responsive even though we really had no significant issues or concerns. The room was very comfortable and felt more like a home than a hotel room. Even though it sits on a busy road, it was quiet. It was an easy walk or drive to everything we needed in town.

Breakfast was nice. Drip coffee was nice. Location is good. Nice and friendly staff. Cute chickens and bocce ball game. You can check out bikes but I haven’t done that yet.

The bedding unfortunately had hair and blood on it that wasn’t ours. Luckily they had other blankets in the closet. No Paris French radio background like it used to.

Absolutely magical! Beautifully and creatively decorated, soft sheets, comfy bed, excellent coffee and breakfast options. A quiet slumber. A short walk to town and dining options. Absolutely will stay there next time!

I am still speechless over this hidden gem I found in Petaluma. Not Napa, not SF,but yes in Petaluma! From the affordability, to the unique creativity of the Parisian them. This place is special. I was torn between selecting a room in the hotel or one of 3 Airstream units. I am glad that I selected a room . We were given a large two bedroom suite upstairs at the top of the staircase. Although we don't have small children that particular room would be perfect for a family wirh 2 children. The room was clean, the large bed comfortable and a huge 65+ TV with Prime was on the wall. We didn't partake in the $10 per person breakfast but it looked nice . The location is easily walkable to many nice restaurants and bars in the downtown area. Complimentary on street parking or in a nearby lot was available. . The service upon check-in was friendly and the hostess showed us around and walked us to our room and explained the amenities of the room and property. This hotel has an extensive French artwork, collection as well as maintaining the charm and character in every space that you see. I didn't take pictures of the decor as its something you have to experience in person. I highly recommend this stylish and quirky French styled hotel in downtown Petaluma California.
