Hôtel Kyriad Caen Sud - Ifs

Dommage que l'établissement ne soit pas équipé d'un ascenseur.

J'ai aimé la mise à disposition de la bouilloire avec café, thé etc...

You cant beat KYRIAD for price and good quality. Rooms are adequate if a little cramped and ceiling can be low over the bed so watch you head but our stay here twice whilst going on holiday and when returning was comfortable and fully acceptable

Great stay over location - explored bayeux and Caen - food was very good particularly the evening meal, breakfast was plentiful - children enjoyed it, would recommend as a good stop over location en route

When we arrived at the hotel the reception had closed early. There was an automated check-in machine outside that recognized our booking, but the machine would not release our key unless we paid for the room again by credit card. After a long car journey with two children we had no option but to pay again and talk to the reception staff in the morning. The next day the reception staff refused to issue a refund and just kept saying that they would sort it out later. We have now returned home from our trip and received the credit card bill showing we were charged.

Hardly a three star hotel. It was more a 2 star hotel. No elevator, no air conditioning (we couldn't sleep at night because it was so hot), no safety box in the rooms, smelly and dirty corridors. We had two big and heavy luggages and the receptionist did not even offer to help take it to the room. Old room, TV positioned in a weird angle to the left of the room for some weird reason. How this hotel is 3 stars is beyond me. Unfortunately we stayed for a week. Would NOT recommend.

Had to be moved to another room as the electrics totally failed . Communications limited to one staff member with any command of English (N.B.She`s often absent). Must say though , place has improved somewhat since our earlier unplanned stay in 2017:shower works and window opens Essentially, hotel does a good job for the unfussy, wanting a quick over-night stop -but wouldn't`t recommend it for anything longer. Will give it another bash this year as convenient for picking up N158 for the South.

Hotel bien placé, proche de la rocade. Personnel acceuillant. Cependant dans ma chambre, vieillotte, pas de climatisation.

Our room was stuffy with a dreadful shower which was not fit for purpose. The carpet was filthy and when we left we had with us more than when we had arrived in the form of something unseen by the naked eye! We scratched and itched and felt very uncomfortable. You might ask why we had stayed there and put up with such conditions so I will tell you. We had little choice as we were attending a family funeral and were at the mercy of the car ferry and other considerations. Such a pity because Kyriads were once very decent stopovers, always clean and often with good food. How things seem to have changed. We never choose this chain now. So sorry to be so negative but this was our experience.
