Convenient hotel for my needs friendly helpful staff, could do with a couple of english tv channels but overall quite happy

We just needed a room for one night. This hotel suited us. However, the sign does not mention "Maineke". It only has the word "Hotel" and it took us a while to realise we had driven past several times.

I was there on a 5 day break to visit my house in the hills about 20 mins away from the hotel. I had my parents with me, we had adjoining rooms (though not interconnecting) so this was very convenient. I found the hotel clean and the room also spotless and very comfortable. I did find it more dates than I had anticipated. The location is perfect for accessing the town, the restaurants and the fabulous beach & promenade. We always found free parking outside which was great. You can even hire bikes. The only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there was a coffee machine near the lifts that was available for use when the bar/coffee shop was closed

Nothing wrong with the hotel as such, but the internet connection was extremely poor. If a hotel is advertising wifi, it has to be usable. We need to name and shame those whose are useless.

I booked my husband the hotel to have one day business in Malaga, when I did the hotel search, I didn't pay attention to the city name, it's one hour driving distance from Malaga... But it's my fault, I would suggest hotel.com didn't put the hotel there if people tried to search hotels in Malaga or at least give a little hint.

Hall carpets worn and dirty. Buffet breakfast grossly overpriced.

Clean basic hotel in an excellent location for the beach, great for a short stay
