Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive

I prefer to use my travel agent to book my trips. My travel agent mentioned that Excellence is not very travel agent–friendly, so I had to book it myself. It’s a great property, but I will likely stay clear of these resorts in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the staff was extremely helpful and attentive, and the food was delicious. Our room was lovely and extremely comfortable. We would definitely go back.

The Excellence Riviera Cancun is a lovely property, staff by exceptional staff members. It reminded us of both the Princeville, Hawaii, Sheraton and the Fairmont Orchid near Kona. The restaurants all served very nice meals; some might find the servings on the smaller side, but they were just right for us. The staff are the shining lights to this resort, from the poolside service, to housekeeping, room service, front desks--very friendly and always helpful.

We arrived at 11:30am on Saturday morning and the staff greeted us with smiles and excitement! We checked in and were immediately told to go ahead and make our selves at home. We went and had something to eat. We changed into our swim suits and hit the pool. We were told when our rooms were ready and were taken to our rooms. We were escorted to our rooms and everything was explained to us. We never wanted for anything and always were greeted with a smile. The staff and the facility is amazing and I would highly recommend coming here if you want an amazing time! We will be back. Hopefully soon.

We had amazing food and drinks, stellar service from the beginning with Manuel as we stepped out of our Seasons transfer. Benjamin & Christian made our first night at Magna very special. Ulises at Spice was full of great advice and suggestions. Edson was our favorite pool side mesero. Ricardo made our last hours at the Martini bar extra fun. So many remembered us by name from previous visits and helped us feel at home. We wrote emails to management with some room complaints but never received a reply or any recognition of our concerns. That was a first and very disappointing.

My hubby and I recently returned from a 9-day vacation at ERC. This was our 9th trip overall. While some things have changed over the years that we may not like, the one thing that keeps us coming back is the impeccable service. The EC concierge staff knocked it out of the ballpark this year! While they were all fantastic, Itamar was one of our favorites. And you cannot forget Amable and Moises. Two of the BEST staff around!! Even though the menus decreased a bit, we were not disappointed with our food. The Grill was one of our favorites. We have already booked our trip for 2027.

This was our 3rd time back at Excellence Riviera Cancun and we can't wait to go back. The daily tennis clinics with Alexis is always a treat and a great way to start your morning. Even better, he does an outstanding job with private lessons! Elisio is also a real treat! He always made sure we were having a good time.

This resort is so gorgeous. The food, the pools, the beach. All of the details are very well thought out! Our room was amazing. We ended up adding excellence club to our reservation upon arrival. This added premium alcohol, access to the excellence club pool and beach and 30 min hydro therapy session in the spa! Amazing!!!! Moises at the excellence club bar was great! We also want to should out Angelo from entertainment, Margarita, Diana and all of the beach bar staff! Amazing!!!! Food was wonderful my favorite were hibachi and Basmati. We did a Sunday-sunday and it was pretty quiet the entire weekend. I love it and will be returning.

We had a good overall experience, however, the rooms need to be updated (shower door fell off hinge, screen door wouldn't open, shower had no pressure). The hot tubs were barely warm. The food was good, but I have had better in other resorts and on cruise ships, especially for the price of this resort. The grounds were lovely, The entertainment was mostly pretty good. I would like to have a band that we could dance to. I did not care for the Dubai experience. Rooms closer to the main pool were not sound proof and the karaoke and other loud music was disturbing until about 11pm.

Antonio is the man! He made our stay super special with his aerobics, volleyball, bracelet making and silent disco! Love him!
