House of 1833 Bed and Breakfast

Loved the location the decor- bed was super comfortable, food was great

The only issue was our room had a musty smell - it was clean but definitely musty - by day 2 our sinuses had enough - lots of sneezing

We enjoyed our stay very much! Evan made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back soon. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the grounds were pretty. The breakfast was delicious too!

The property is a historical landmark and with antiques that are a story in and if themselves!

While one could be overwhelmed upon arrival given the chance it is a relaxing and beautiful b&b.

Individual and eccentric. The place is layered with antiques and kitschy items giving it an over-the-top nutty quality that we enjoyed. Evan is a superb cook and accommodating host who is willing to explain all the amazing stuff. The building and location are excellent and the price was very reasonable for high season in Mystic.

There is so much stuff in the inn that it feels a little musty, although the staff is excellent and works hard. Our room was not cleaned up after our first night, which was a disappointment.

It was a great stay. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and will certainly not be our last now with such a great experience we had at the House of 1833. Evan was an exceptional host/chef. He gave us a tour of the home and the history. The breakfast in the morning was incredible from the homemade apple cranberry muffin to the Greek Italian Mac & Cheese Spinach Souffle. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, yet close to town place to stay.

We like historic properties and antiques so we enjoyed staying with Evan to also enjoy his hospitality and great breakfast that sets you up for the day.
