House of 1833 Bed and Breakfast

The breakfasts I had were amazing!! Evan, the host, was extremely gracious and kind. He made it a point to make sure that I was spoiled and had the best experience possible. I would highly recommend this beautiful mansion to anyone

We were able to bring our dog, which was great. But the listing didn't say anything about the $50 dog fee which we paid on arrival. Not really unexpected that there was a fee, just too bad it wasn't mentioned when we booked.

Antiques everywhere, Christmas decorations galore, a fabulous breakfast, spacious room and charming innkeeper Evan made for a relaxing and fun stay.

Evan our host was a delight. Clearly, an expert on his family heritage and the background regarding the house. More delightful antiques, books, magazines, games, etc. than you could even take in. The room was cozy, the bed was very comfortable. Loved all the antiques and how they wove them into the ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed our multicourse breakfast. Yummy Country breakfast with side of ham and yummy pumpkin waffles with spiced apples and home cooked potatoes. Plus delightful, homemade cinnamon rolls Everything was homemade. Evan took a genuine interest in us, and was very open about sharing stories but also gave us privacy as well. Wish we had more time to spend there.

We are not pet people. But Evan was respectful about the dogs being in a separate section of the house with gates. They were not noisy and were happy to greet new comers to the house.
