Bourne Hall Country Hotel

Good location with parking. Lovely garden and surrounding area. Excellent cooked breakfast

No extractor fan in bathroom. No air conditioning only free standing fan which was inadequate to keep room cool. Insufficient electrical sockets. TV wouldn’t switch off without disconnecting. Cleanliness, cobwebs in bathroom, dust and dirt along skirting boards around bed, spiders in bedroom. Stair wells were dusty. The large curtain pelmets were covered in dust. Overall hotel cleaning was an issue. The reception wasn’t manned at all times.

The man called Callam. Nothing was to much effort for him. The resolution of our two issues was quickly sorted. The staff were nice and friendly. Room was tidy and dual aspect too! Considering the event we were at. The hotel fulfilled the requirements with aplomb. Thank you.

The breakfast was little hit and miss. Go early and the staff may be still setting up! On the whole though a pleasant experience. Thank you.

All the staff were very welcoming, polite and a can do attitude. Location was perfect for our group.

It was a shame that the indoor pool wasn’t open. The room would benefit from some more thorough cleaning.

The room was very spacious and tidy, and the view from the room was breathtaking.

Breakfast could have been a bit better. The classic English breakfast was good; however, it would have been improved with one or two fresh fruits.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Good breakfast and evening meal. Easy parking. Long uphill walk from Shanklin!
