Bed is not comfortable at all.

The garden is beautifully well maintained. The property has a lot of character and history. We stayed in the duchess suite which is recently modernised.

The first room we got offered needs to be redone, however they are working on that.

Food and service was very good. I liked the bar room, I didn't use it, but it looked as a room that I would like to spent an evening in, if I wasn't there with small children.

There was no lock in the bathroom, which is not comfortable with children around.

The setting was nice, and the atmosphere was good. The room was lovely and clean with a view out at sea. The food was very good and the stay was good value for money. A lovely quiet break in a lovely part of the Isle of Wight.

Not always an option for the evening meal.

The staff were truly lovely and personable, going out of their way to provide a first class service. They even arranged flowers and a card for my mum's birthday and their anniversary. The breakfast, lunch and evening meals throughout the week were superb. Waiter/waitress service first class.

I am aware that the current owners only took over a little while ago and upgrading the decor in some places of the hotel is a job in hand.
