The bathroom could do with modernising to clamber into a bath for a shower with an old style bath shower mixer which took some fiddling about with to obtain a balanced temperature

"Just lovely - will stay there again"

Breakfast was nice, view was incredible, staff were superb, especially Tom. Having a pool was nice as well.

It's at the top of the hill so the walk back from town after dinner is not for the less able bodied.

"Not worth the money AT ALL!"

Only the Staff

Location NO FOOD DELIVERY VIA ANY APPS NO BUS STATION CLOSE ENOUGH LOTS OF SPIDERS NO DINNER OR LUNCH AVAILABLE THE MOST BIZZAR PART of our stay was when our room didn’t get clean, the lovely front desk lady gave us a bag of goodies like water cookies and chips which was wonderful. However, when they came and cleaned our room the next day we weren’t there, THEY TOOK THE BAG OF GOODIES FROM OUR ROOM! UNHEARD OF! When the lady brought us towels and the bag of goodies was delivered to our room I was in the shower. I called and thanked the lovely lady for it. But I thought it was just too weird to mention to her that our goodies WAS TAKEN BACK BY WHOEVER CLEANED OUR ROOM! I had never seen anything like it! Makes me think the owners were cleaning our rooms! I don’t know what to say

A hotel run by a family, it's welcoming and friendly. The swimming pool was fantastic in the hot weather while we were there. Great sea views. Comfy lounge. Quiet as it was away from the town, but fairly easy to walk for the able bodied.

Bit of a steep climb back from Shanklin. Shanklin wasn't our favourite place, but Ventnor nearby was super.

"A nice hotel to explore the Isle of Wight from."

7.0

The room was spacious and breakfast was served in a lovely light and airy room. The pool was a bonus and very nice to swim in. The room had a little refrigerator in it ,which was really useful. It was about a 15 minute walk down to the town and we found plenty of places to eat there.

Lack of sockets for charging up the phones, whilst running the fan or using the kettle and poor WiFi.

"Character hotel - caring staff (Tom ⭐️)good breakfast and nice surrounding - near Shanklin Chine."

8.0

The staff, especially Tom - so helpful. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. We had a suite which was beautiful paid for an upgrade when we got there. Breakfast was good and so accommodating for gluten and lactose intolerance. Comfortable rooms to sit and relax in and grounds nice to sit or stretch your legs in.

Very steep walk getting back and forth to hotel. Ok if you’re doing it once but not if you need to go to town 2-3 times. Breakfast cereals needed for gluten free - oats - then everybody could enjoy with their milk and fruit. Swimming pool had a charge which I feel should come in the cost if you are staying.
