Martinique On Macrossan

It was perfect and had everything we needed. Lots of attention to detail and friendly staff who was willing to help make our short stay memorable.

Alles wat we nodig hadden. Hartelijke ontvangst, fijne bedden, prima douche, airco, paraplu’s :-) , koelkast, terras, handdoeken en een zwembad. Je loopt meteen de straat met vele restaurants en winkels in, supermarktje tegenover (een grotere iets verderop, 7 min lopen), strand om de hoek en gratis parkeren. Dit is een dikke aanrader!! Hele aardige gastheren die assisteren met alles wat je nodig hebt.

Niks, het was top. 1 kleine tip: 2 extra haakjes in badkamer voor toilettas, handdoek etc zou fijn zijn.

The condo had everything you needed. Managers were helpful with recommending places to visit while we were in the Port Douglas area. They provided chairs for the beach and beach towels. Short walk to the beach.

This was a great place to stay in Port Douglas. The location was excellent at the end of the main street, with easy access and walking distance everywhere. Free parking garage on site. The room was spacious and had all the amenities needed. A plus for the safe, which doesn't seem to be standard in Australia. Some more hooks in the bathroom would be welcome though (there seems to be a universal shortage of bathroom hooks). Great pool area, not massive, but empty (although we visited off peak). The manager/owner at the reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Port Douglas.

Martinique on Macrossan is a truly beautiful adults-only hotel, located just a short 2-minute stroll—around 150 metres—from the beach. I would gladly recommend this hotel to any traveller looking for a peaceful and charming place to stay. A special thank-you goes to Ken at reception, who was exceptionally helpful and professional throughout our stay. It’s clear he genuinely enjoys his work. He organised a wonderful sailing excursion for us for our honeymoon and also shared excellent dining recommendations, including great restaurant options in nearby Palm Cove. To make our honeymoon even more memorable, he welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of champagne—a thoughtful gesture we deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping make our stay unforgettable.

My elderly mother has been staying at the Martinique for about 9 years now. The owners, Colin and Ken, have always been so very kind to her and looked after her very well. This year I was able to join her for a week. The hotel is wonderful: Great situation. Lovely big rooms (2 and 3 ) with everything you could need for a week’s stay. It’s a fabulous place to stay. Highly recommend it.
