1802 House Bed & Breakfast

We arrived an hour early and the front door was locked. We had to call a phone number and were told to come back in an hour, not very accomendating. Unfortunately I was in need of a restroom, when I explained the need I was tool "sorry, come back at the check in time". This was not very accomendating. Also breakfast was not served until 9. We had a tour at 9. , again, not very accommendating. They also charged for glass of happy hour wine. However, accomedations were very clean.

We had a wonderful stay here. Amazing breakfasts, lovely room in a beautiful house and a fabulous host. We also loved sitting out in the sunny beautiful garden. 1802 House is situated in a peaceful residential area, a short walk to the centre of Kennebunkport, so a perfect location.

Quiet and lovely stay here! Juliana prepared the most delicious breakfasts with fresh ingredients! She also accommodated a gluten-free diet! Convenient location to area sights. Comfortable room and bed! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

In town for work & decided to extend my stay & take a chance on 1802 House. Boy, am I glad I did! You can tell the house & it's grounds are well loved & nestled in a very convenient area - just minutes from downtown Kennebunkport. Breakfast each morning was a few light courses - delicious & the perfect start to your adventure for the day. Everyone on site was pleasant & had lovely recommendations, if you needed them. The shower was hot, bed was super comfy & I so appreciated the "digital brochure" that was emailed which contained all the needed info for the house, along with recommendations! Thanks for a great first B&B experience!

We had a bad experience here, starting even before arrival. I had called a few days in advance to let them know that I would be arriving after 6 pm, as it says to do on the website. I was told that would be fine and that there would be a key left on the door with my name on it. When I arrived, there was a key with a different name. I called the Inn and one of the interim managers came to meet us, said she made a mistake with the name, and took the key back to the office to confirm she had us in the right room. She came back, confirmed, and had us in the Camden room. I had paid an extra $10 for a dessert to be in the room upon check-in, which wasn't there. We had plans that evening so I figured I would say something in the morning. The next day, we were on our way downtown when we got a phone call asking why we had checked out early. I said that we didn't and offered to come back to see what the issue was. They told us that there was another Emily staying in the York room, that we should have been in there, and that we need to check out of the Camden room and move to York. The person in the York room had been given the dessert I paid for. We were offered a replacement dessert and a bottle of wine. While out, trying to enjoy our weekend getaway, I got a voicemail from one of the interim managers asking me to call them to confirm my credit card information (which was unnecessary, as I had already paid in full). I waited until we returned and she said that they realized their mistake and admitted that they were not paying attention (specifically, watching TV) while assigning keys. We moved to the York room which is small, has a noisy window unit AC, and a power cord at the entrance to the bathroom that we tripped over several times. When we returned that night, the replacement dessert was there (no idea how long it had been sitting out for) but no wine, and the TV didn't work. We didn't feel comfortable staying for breakfast the next morning, so upon checkout, we asked to speak with one of the interim managers about a partial refund due to the unsatisfactory stay. She got very agitated, blamed us for not making more of a fuss about changing rooms, told us we were lying about the TV not working, and that we were supposed to get the wine out of their refrigerator ourselves. She only calmed down when we pointed out how confrontational she was being. Still, the only advice she gave was to "contact Julianna", which I've now done three times with zero response. We paid $800 for a weekend getaway with issues at literally every single step of the way, that could have been spent at a nicer place with better customer service.

Julianna goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable. The inn is so cute and clean, and it is very conveniently located.

The service was wonderful! Our innkeepers were very nice, helpful and accommodating. The room was also very nice with a comfortable bed. The location was perfect in relation to the downtown Kennebunkport area. We didn't have to drive once and were able to walk anywhere we wanted. I will definitely plan to stay here again!

Our room at 1802 was beautiful, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and we truly enjoyed our over night visit, we were sorry we didn't book two nights. Next time we are in Kennebunkport we would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
