1802 House Bed & Breakfast

The 1802 House was charming, comfortable, and very welcoming!

Lovely area . Easy walk into town for restaurants etc . Different to other reviews we didn’t really enjoy breakfast - there was no choice and to be honest prefer just a savoury breakfast but everyday we had sweet treats which we wouldn’t normally eat , we aren’t very fussy for breakfast but found the one sitting and lack of any choice quite antiquated. The server was just lovely though and extremely helpful but didn’t quite get the vibe that everyone else seemed to Feel . Our room Felt extremely cramped and we were delighted it was only for two nights . We felt it was quite overpriced for what it provided but realise this is an expensive area to stay

Off the beaten path, but close enough to walk to town easily. Free parking and wifi, lovely breakfast included. Beautiful room! I would like the shower in my home!

Bed wS way too soft for my back. Ended up sleeping on the loveseat the second night.

We loved our stay! Our host was so welcoming and accommodating! The home and ground are gorgeous and the breakfast was incredible. We very much enjoyed our 1/2 mile walk into town admiring the beautiful sights, We will definitely return in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the 1802 House. Our arrival and check in was easy and smooth. Our room- the Berwick- was very small. The photo on the website was very deceiving. Coming from the south, we found it unusual that there was not wine and cheese for happy hour- that seems to be the norm In the south. Breakfast was ok- would have enjoyed an option/ choice. It was a wonderful location!

The B&B is in a very quiet neighborhood just a moderate walk from the village center. Very clean and updated room with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Delicious breakfast and gracious hostess. High attention to detail throughout the building to create a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

The room was well appointed and very comfy. Breakfast was excellent. Several courses served. All freshly made. We felt pampered. The server was very friendly. The owner really wanted us to feel comfortable and at ease in her home.

1802 House Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located to the village of Kennebunkport. It’s clean and rooms are a nice size. The breakfast was good, but wasn’t served until 9 am, which seemed late in the morning. The Innkeeper was pleasant, but during the 2 breakfasts that we had there, she never really engaged with the guests. She seemed rushed with every interaction. What really disappointed me was on the day of our arrival, we arrived 1 hr early (check in at 3 pm, but could accommodate early arrivals). The door was locked, but we saw someone scurrying around inside. I called the number posted on the door and someone answered. I told them who we were and had arrived a little early for check in, after a long day of driving, and asked if we could check in and drop off our luggage. I was told the Innkeeper was still running errands and wouldn’t be back until 3 pm, so we’d have to wait. I was shocked! In all the years we’ve traveled and stayed in B&B’s we’ve never been met with such a response. To make things more disappointing, when we did check in at 3:30 pm, the Innkeeper met us at the door, introduced herself and guess what … it WAS the lady I saw earlier scurrying inside. She apparently wasn’t really for her guests and NEVER even acknowledged my call 1.5 hrs earlier. So, if you enjoy a non responsive, non engaging innkeeper, this is the place for you. There are several other B&B’s in the area to consider when traveling to Kennebunkport.
