Homewood Suites by Hilton College Station

Stayed for one night whilst visiting George H W Bush Presidential Library and en route to San Antonio. The hotel is well located in the centre of College Station just off the Main Street. There are many restaurants close by. We had a 2double 1 bedroom suite which was nice and roomy, clean and very comfortable. I was greeted as a Diamond member and all amenities, elevators, breakfast timings etc explained. Would happily stay here again if in town, albeit I would avoid Texas “Aggies” football weekends.

The couch was not comfortable but everything else was mostly great. The room/rooms were very large. Would really have liked an ice bucket as the tap water ice cubes in the freezer tasted horrible.

This place is like taking a step by into the early 2000's. Hasn't been maintained well at all. Hilton either needs to put up some capital and remodel this thing or sell it to an operator that will. Felt pretty gross.

The room was fine but it was tired. The sofa in fhe room was gross. The air conditioner was SUPER LOUD. There were hairs on the walls of the shower.

Overall was an awesome experience

MOLD & MILDEW, HAZARDOUS HOMEWOOD SUITES A picture is worth a thousand words! My family and I had to endure horrible conditions at this location. Homewood Suites College Station - 950 University Drive. The advertising online as well as the reviews do not adequately portray the reality. I checked in on Wednesday October 2, 2024 after a long day of travel. When we got to our room 401 the smell was overwhelming. The mold was even growing on the picture in the room. When I asked the front desk agent to be transferred to another room I checked 2 other rooms (room 400 & 100) and they all had a very foul smell and mold. When I asked for the associate to step in the room because she wasn't bothered by the smell she said it was " the cleaning supplies they used". No way cleaning supplies smell that bad. " A picture is worth a thousand words". Please see the attached picture I took from the room we had. Growing Mold!!!! My family and I checked into an Embassy suites 5 minutes away When I checked into the Embassy suites it was great. I shared my experience about the moldy Homewood suites and even the front desk staff said they have heard the same thing and even one of them had to stay there because of Houston flooding at one time saying how moldy and smelly it was. Hilton Corporate offices should be made aware and make the necessary changes to improve the hazardous conditions this Hotel presents to all who stay there.

Quiet place

Homewood Suites is always my go to and I wasn’t disappointed this time.

Nice to stay at a real hotel. Clean room great front desk staff. Will definitely stay here again.
