Second trip to Grey Street Hotel and it didn’t disappoint. Staff really helpful and friendly. Requested a room with a bath and this was provided. Beds really comfy. Location amazing, close to everything and easy 5 minute walk to the station. Breakfast superb. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Newcastle

Shame the bar restaurant that was next door is no longer open

Amazing ovation here to all the bars and restaurants

Shower doors faulty in the Richard Granger room which meant they flooded the bathroom floor each time you had a shower Also we had to clean the shower heads as they were clogged up with black gunge before we could use it

What a wee gem! At the price I paid I wasn’t expecting much. I was wrong. The location is perfect. Easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was spotless. Our room on the fifth floor was so quiet and although the bedroom was quite small, the bathroom was huge with a separate shower and bath. I’m so fussy when it comes to beds but this one was great. I’m even worse when it comes to pillows and this was the best I’ve had in a hotel in many years. My only minor complaints are no sockets beside the bed and the mirror was in a weird place. Minor faults though in an otherwise great stay
