"Really enjoyed our stay!!"

10.0

We had the best time! The resort is charming and the staff is wonderful. The staff keeps the grounds clean and makes sure all needs are met. We enjoyed all the tours we booked through the resort - especially the ATM tour. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back someday!

"Lovely hotel, great stay"

10.0

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. The location is excellent for visiting many attractions like the Mayan sites, caves, waterfalls etc. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with good AC. The food was always good. The night critters tour around the hotel grounds was good fun. The standout is the staff, all were friendly and helpful, but a special mention must go to the lady running the bar, I forgot her name (sorry) but it began with N. She mixed up plenty of different cocktails and gave lots of good advice for the drinks plus places to visit. Hope to visit again soon.

"Amazing stay in San Ignacio!"

10.0

We had an incredible stay at San Ignacio Resort Hotel during a recent family trip to Belize. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, as well as walking around the lovely grounds. We had several meals at the hotel and appreciated being able to pre-order breakfast so that we could eat before our early morning tours. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and we appreciated having a fold-out sofa so that our kids didn't have to share a bed. We booked a cave tubing excursion through the hotel, with Carlos as our guide. Carlos was AMAZING! Definitely a highlight of our trip - he was so knowledgeable and fun. He really made the cave tubing experience special. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Ignacio.

"Quaint Town and Good Service"

10.0

We stayed at the San Ignacio Resort for 2 nights of our 7-day trip to Belize. It is about a 1:45 minute ride from the airport into San Ignacio. The hotel was very quaint and welcoming. We stayed with our 13 & 15 year old kids one one double bedroom. The room was snug, but we booked late so there was only one available for the 4 of us. The staff was super friendly. Concierge O'Neil was great to help get us ready for our ATM tour and did their best to be accommodating to my son's gluten intolerance. Renan. The pool area is nice but small. It almost has the vibe of a bed & breakfast. They arranged our ATM tour and guide Renan was like a wise old owl who seemed to know everything there was to know about ATM and did a great job guiding us through the cave.

"Book here for Comfort, Love it for the Caring Attitude"

10.0

The Resort was such a well-placed and pleasant home base for excursions to the town and to our adventures. Rooms were luxurious for our family of four and offered what we needed (fridge for water bottles - and a refilling station down the hall; enough towels and large enough bathroom; two beds for the four of us; A/C that WORKED very well; TV and WiFi). The property was also wonderful: the bar was available when we needed, the TRAILS were so cool to explore - though we did come across a Coral Snake on Day 1, so keep those eyes peeled :); the pool was our kids favorite place; and the restaurant was really good for dinner, we were even treated to a passing by of monkeys while we dined! The staff was SO accommodating! Freddy was the best welcomer we could have asked for (and those lavender refreshing towels are still a thing my 10 year old talks about!). Mr. Jorge was a great concierge and answered my ridiculous questions, gave me a map that was incredibly helpful as well as made us the reservations we needed (at his suggestion, which was correct).

"Lovely peaceful hotel in superb setting"

10.0

Very clean and staff all very friendly and helpful. Pool area is great to relax after any trips, and food (we had breakfast and lunches) is very, very good. Short walk into town and the hill (slope!) is easily manageable!! Don’t believe anyone who says it isn’t unless you have genuine mobility issues.

Only 1 minor critique would be the Macal River Kayak is expensive for what it is USD 95 pp for 90 mins - the Tikal and Barton Creek trips were worth every penny (cent)

"Superb"

10.0

It’s a beautiful, well appointed hotel. Out the back door: walk through the jungle. Out the front door: explore San Ignacio’s markets and shops. They are incredibly well staffed. Tour guides, drivers, front desk, restaurant, bartenders, etc., truly a great group. Onil, concierge, is a gem. I will definitely go back.

"Something for Everyone"

10.0

We stayed at San Ignacio Resort for 4 nights with our 3 adult children. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant on sight was delicious. The staff was very attentive. O'Neill, the concierge, helped us plan an unforgettable day trip to the ATM Cave which is a MUST SEE. He also arranged our transport from the water taxi (came from Caye Caulker) to the resort as well as transport the airport. There were several other activities on the property that we took advantage of like the bird watching and night animal tour just for fun. There were relatively inexpensive but what you see is largely up to nature and weather obviously. We walked into town for dinner each night. It is close to the market as well which we enjoyed on Saturday before leaving.
