"Family adventure"

10.0

You should visit Belize! The hotel was very clean and the outdoor area was very relaxing. It was up and away from the bustle of the city and felt remote. The restaurant was excellent and the concierge service was exceedingly helpful! The staff at the front was also very accommodating.

"spring vacation"

The service here was amazing. From the moment we checked in until we left four days later, the staff were as attentive and friendly as can be. We can't think everyone enough for making sure we were well taken care of. We relied heavily on the concierge desk to advise us on what to do, where to eat etc. and they did a great job of steering us in the right direction, especially with a day trip to Tikal in Guatemala. We're very much do-it-yourselfers when it comes to booking excursions, so it was a leap of faith to let you guys arrange the trip for us, You didn't disappoint! What a great time at Tikal! We had a couple of glitches with our TV and the room safe, some self inflicted, and the housekeeping folks immediately took care of the problems. That's not a level of attentiveness we'd get back home, that's for sure. The restaurant and bar didn't disappoint, either. We enjoyed our meals and the happy hour specials immensely. I'd like to make two suggestions. Neither of these things were a problem for us. Yet, I think they would make a great product even better. One is to get rid of the tennis court. It looks like it doesn't get used much at all. Perhaps replace it with more garden beds, an outdoor bar & patio, or go with something that's wildly popular now like a pickleball court. The other suggestion is to raise the wall between the sink and the shower to help keep the items on the sink dry (or teach clumsy oafs like me how to not splash water onto the sink from the shower).

"Great place to stay to explore the region"

8.0

Great garden behind, or rather below the hotel. Light and airy Good laundry service. Good location to try all local restaurants

The leaf blowers, starting early. A broom is far more efficient and environmentally friendly.

"Very friendly and welcoming resort in San Ignacio"

10.0

We stayed here as a family of 4 in the Jungle View Suite. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel itself is very well-maintained and in great shape. The suite itself wasn't that large but it had 3 beds and was big enough for us. The private patio/deck it comes with was very large and well-appointed; we spent most of our time there and it really does feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. The pool was great as well and is well-kept by the staff. The staff working at the resort are very helpful and friendly, and they really treat their guests with respect and attentiveness. They really seem to enjoy working there and it shows in how they treat their guests. The concierges were very helpful in arranging our transfer from our other hotel and two trips to the airport. They also helped us with different tour bookings, and the guides they selected were the best. (I highly recommend the Tikual tour!). And the Iguana and nigh tours were great as well. The hotel is just up the hill from the various restaurants and shops in San Ignacio. Or you can get a taxi to take you where you want to go. Really wonderful place overall and a perfect place from which to base your vacation in western Belize from.

"Great place to stay for tours"

8.0

Pros: Best place by far to stay in town (by a long shot)! We were pleasantly surprised on arrival by the quality. Very nice room and lobby and pool area. Was an easy walk to town (5 min) and restaurants. We used the pool and tennis court— they provide racquets. Room has a safe. Cons: Restaurant was ok— we enjoyed eating in town better. Also, a phone charger was taken from the room on our first day there, so had to buy another one. Other than that, great service with daily water bottles provided. Would highly recommend!

"Beautiful resort with a relaxing atmosphere!"

10.0

We have a very relaxing stay at San Ignacio Resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, had all the amenities needed and the best part was the very soft and comfortable king size bed. We enjoyed our stay very much, we were able to relax by the pool, enjoyed breakfast every morning before getting our day started and then enjoyed a few cocktails before ending the day. The resort has a very relaxing atmosphere to it and we really enjoy staying there. We’ve stayed several times and will definitely be back! 🤗

It waa great, especially for the price for 3 people. We had 2 queens & a sofa bed & everything was very comfortable & clean. We lovec the pool & the restaurant was nice too. The staff was very nice & gave us a lil tour & brought our bags to our room. The only negative thing for some people is no elevator. Still, highly recommend!!

"Everyone is so nice and welcoming"

8.0

Everyone was so incredibly nice starting with our pickup from the ferry terminal in Belize City. Cruz was our driver both ways and he was so nice. He gave us some history lessons on the way and we stopped at this cute little cafe called Cheers. When we checked in they gave us a tour and they are super proud that Queen Elizabeth II stayed there. We ate at the hotel for lunch and dinner the 2 days we were there and all the food we had was so good. The pool area was nice, it was surrounded by different kinds of trees and grenery, they also have courts you can play on and there's a walkway further down. This place is like in the jungle which is kind of cool. They have some tour options you can do at the hotel. It didn't seem like there were any restaurants around but we didn't check so not sure, just going off what we saw when we drove in. We weren't there long and had a day trip the full day we were there so didn't bother us at all. Issues: the mattresses were very old and torn up/dirty, mine had a huge hole in the mattress and the springs were broken. Luckily it was at the bottom so it wasn't uncomfortable and didn't mess with my quality of sleep. Other than that the room was clean and ready for us. We had a garden room and it was nice. We were right by the front and the hotel is next to the casino so we heard all the cars and bass which luckily wasn't an issue long term. I chose this place because the Tikal tour we did was able to pick us up from here and it was a nice halfway point. Overall we would stay here again.
