San Ignacio Resort Hotel

Beautiful pool and lush grounds. Early morning birdwatching was great and the iguana conservancy was amazing. Very friendly staff and clean room. We did not enjoy the food at the restaurant. For example, the eggs with biscuit had barely cooked eggs on top of little gravy, and while the egg omelet was tasty, the toast was not. The butter tasted more like margarine, not enough preserves, and only had canned condensed milk for the mediocre coffee. Better to walk down the hill for a better meal.

Exceeded our expectations! The resort we nestled on the side of the river but close to town for easy access to restaurants and activities. We stayed 3 nights, while there we hiked the property and went to visit the ruins as well as 2 separate water falls. The location allowed us to venture out daily and see lots of the surrounding country. We had a car so we made our own itinerary. The hotel staff was amazing, rooms were comfortable and the food was excellent!

Great Stay – Excellent Staff! The staff was excellent – very accommodating and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While there isn’t much to do within walking distance, the quality of the hotel more than makes up for it. Would definitely stay here again!

We felt pampered by the staff from the moment we arrived! Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. By the second day, they knew our names and favorite cocktail. The room was comfortable and the amenities were nice. The hotel is located just on the edge of town, so we could walk around and explore easily. We also booked our excursions through the hotel and I cannot rave enough about the guides! Fabulous! Cannot wait to return!

This hotel is amazing. The food is delicious!! The staff is kind, rooms are clean and you can see toucans and other birds while eating breakfast.

Our family of five had an amazing time at the San Ignacio Resort. The entire staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Our butler Elito went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and was so knowledgeable about the area. Truly a gem of a person. We also had a fantastic tours led by Carlos and Brian and really appreciated our drivers as well. The service was unmatched and I hope to return some day.

Not only was our room beautiful and comfy (we had the Royal Suite), the grounds are lovely as well. The staff are the warmest and most attentive anywhere! The food (both in the restaurant, bar, and room service) was fresh and homemade and so good, especially the green juice! I miss this resort so much and can't wait to return! Be sure to book your excursions through the concierge..they do a fantastic job! Highly recommend the day trip to Tikal, the ATM cave, and night critter walk with Santos!

We cannot recommend the San Ignatio Resort highly enough. What an absolute gem! We brought our kids and grands to Belize to celebrate our 50 Wedding Anniversary and started our trip with four nights at the Resort. In every single way the resort exceeded expectations. Our group ranged in age from 70 to 11, and without exception, every one of us loved it there. It never even crossed our minds to go anywhere else for dinner when we returned to the resort from our daily adventures because the food in the restaurant was so good. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. We already want to go back. If you haven’t stayed there yet, you need to!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The accommodations were first class. We loved the restaurant, bar service, and other amenities. Be sure to tour the iguana center on the premises.
